I'm disheartened by the reviews which automatically harp on the relaxed and simple check in/out process. Lake Shore Inn is beautiful. It's conveniently placed away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. It's owned by a husband and wife, who are both kind and sincere about guests having a good time. It was explained to me that there were an ABUNDANCE of amenities available to my wife and I when we checked in. Please don't be fooled by the 'No one was there to greet me' crowd. There is a sign at the front desk which explains that if no one is present, to call this number. The property is huge. Two people own and manage the maintenance of it all. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. They're clean, bright and give a very relaxing home like feel to them. They're close enough to every and any thing you.might need to enjoy your stay. I will absolutely return for another stay, I felt more than happy with my stay there

Lake Shore Farm Inn.Upon arrival, there is a grammatically challenged sign on the desk with a phone number explaining that you need to make a phone call to check in and that only one person works there. Well, nothing is more evident than that. We called and we checked in for our 2-night stay. We were shown to our room and never saw the guy again. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The view of the pond was nice. The room was tiny, the TV was tiny, the refrigerator was good with a freezer that actually worked, and the bathroom was tiny. There is a tiny table and chairs set, the size of a child's play set. The vending machine in the lobby was "Out of Order." No longer is there a working restaurant on the premises. As others have written, you practically had to step into the bathtub to close and open the bathroom door. The bathroom was clean. Use caution, the seat moves when you least expect it. There were no tissues in the room. There is a K-Cup coffee maker but the coffee supplies were not replaced for our second day. I suppose this was because there is no housekeeping if staying two or more days. The walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbor's TVs clearly, as well as their "adult alone time."Despite putting our sign out on the door requesting housekeeping, nothing was done. We had one set of towels for two days. We opened the dresser and found old stale snacks had been left in it by previous occupants.Check out was another phone call. It sounded as if we woke him. It was 10:45. We did get a "Have a good day" but nothing as far as "Thank you for staying with us" "Please come again" or even "How was your stay?" It was almost like we were bothering him to check out. We just put the key on the desk and left. Two days and we saw the guy once.I guess the old saying, "You get what you pay for" holds true here.Never again.

We always love this place when we visit for events and food (private dining and special events like st Patrick’s day). Can’t beat the backdrop of the lake.

Quiet, clean, cozy little space, boyfriend and I rented a room for one night after a ski trip and we slept like a rock. Free wifi and a little Roku TV in each room. Would recommend!

Me and my new husband stayed there for the weekend. We got married on Saturday! So any expectations of the best for our precious weekend was met at this wonderful location. Slept like babies and we felt so calm and relaxed in this cozy comfortable hotel ❤ Plus.. The owner left us gifts in the room on our arrival, big bouquet of flowers (that we used our wedding) and box of Chocolate truffles ? Thank you so much Mariam!!! ? ?

The many pictures used on the Inn's and most Travel websites truly DO NOT reflect the current environment or amenities (basically none) of the Inn. I noted this this as well to the Inn owner. I typically don't make reviews but decided here one needed to be made. There is no Tavern or restaurant opened, no water/ drinks or snacks available for purchase, no ice, etc. I believe I grossly overpaid ($$$ - $$$$) for accommodations here based on older information and pictures on these sites. Should have read reviews much closer. I don't know how or when these sites get updated but there should be a process definitely not limited to reviews only. As for safety, there was not a double our internal room security lock. For multiple reasons, numerous locals familiar with the Inn do not recommend it as well. I had not inquired of relatives in the area earlier as this was a surprise visit to Bow Lake. Now after our visit, I would not recommend this location either! The Inn Keeper (owner) in my opinion is not overly friendly or accommodating. She might (?) blame this on her lack of help as she's apparently a one-person show! I believe this Inn has been for sale for a while now according to local realty news and those living in the area, new blood would perhaps be a good thing.

This is a nice place with lots of ambience and character. A nice pond plenty of swimming and summer stuff. However there is a tavern in its heyday I'm sure was great. Pool table darts there's an actual bar there but nobody ever mans it is essentially closed down and more of a rec room now. The restaurant that was on premises is shut down. There's no continental breakfast of any type. And the closest grocery store is further than you would want it to be.Despite that this place has loads and loads of potential. Unfortunately the two biggest drawbacks are the current program the state CAP offices run. It is loaded with unsavory characters. What I'm sure are multiple illicit drug sales. And to my knowledge at least three or four overdoses in the past year. Now I am not downing The residence at the end a lot of them are families trying to pull their lives back together despite their unfortunate circumstances there are many very good people there. But the percentage of riff Raff is a little bit higher than in most areas due to the program. As bad as all that sounds that is not this nice inns biggest downfall. That would go to the current owner. Let me just say...She is a quite lovely lady for about 30% of the time. The rest of the time it is usually hit or miss as to her customer service attitude. The evening time is usually not a good time to approach her.... She tries to run the inn like it is her home and she is just letting you stay in a back bedroom. With zero knowledge as to operating a licenced inn. Or the regulations and laws set forth for an inn/motel. Aside from that she is a nice lady and means well but she is not cut out for being in a customer service running a motel business.Rooms: This is not a cookie cutter motel that rooms are for the majority designed and decorated differently each with its unique aspects and quite niceFood & drinks: There is nothing good to say about the food and drinks because there is none whatsoever. The only soda machine in the whole place has not been plugged in in over a yearNoteworthy details: During the summer time is an excellent time to visit this end with its proximity to the pond on his property and a beach with a doc there is also kayaks and a paddle boat available for the customers of the end to utilize. A very large field and a fairly new child's playground had been installed. I cannot rave enough about this being a great summer location despite some of its other downfalls

The location is beautiful. The building is old and rustic. Overall a very nice place. Owner is very nosey and always wants to know your business especially if you have visitors. If you are the quiet well mannered type that just wants to lay low and chill you will do great here. If you are noisy, hostile or the partying type I would look elsewhere for sure.Rooms: Rooms are very descent. Some have 2 rooms. Very clean with personal bathroom.Nearby activities: There is a playground, a game room, horse shoes and many other activities on the grounds.Food & drinks: There is a nice descent size full kitchen on site where you can make your own meals any time of day.
