Great food selection good drink selection friendly service, good portions at a reasonable price. Right off route 16 in OssipeeNH
Love the area, so wanted to check it out, when we walked in, nobody greeted us or said anything, so we sat at a table, most surfaces were sticky and unclean, the food was good but everything else was lacking.
Nice clean place with good service. The bad was that we ordered 3 burgers with fries and a Mac and cheese the burgers where ordered medium and came out rare. The Mac and cheese was delicious. So I was like ok the cook had an off night so we asked for the bill! Our burgers and fries where $24 each what? 3 bbq bacon cheeseburgers the Mac and cheese was $15 big $ for a not great burger. We payed our $132 check and tipped our service and will go back for drinks only. Thanks to the bartender. Ps don't get a Burger from this place go to 5 guys there cheeper!
Giving 2 stars because the food was for the most part good. I don't know if we just happened to be there on an off night or what, but I know we are never going back. Was charged $29.00 for a build your own burger. $2.00 each for every extra thing that was put on it including the lettuce, tomato and onion that it is supposed to come with. The person I was with also got a build your own burger, but their burger only came to $17.00 even though they only had 2 less things on theirs then I had on mine. Was never given any silverware or napkins. Spent 5 minutes trying to flag down our waitress just to get the napkins and then another 10 minutes waiting for those. Our appetizers came out after our entree, I'm talking we were halfway through our meal before we got the appetizers and those were cold by the time they hit our table. The waitress seemed completely distracted or else she just didn't care. Wouldn't fix the bill even though there was something obviously wrong with the burger prices. Finally just gave up trying to get her to understand everything that was wrong, paid and left.Overall a really unpleasant and very disappointing experience.
Not a bad spot to stop by... but not sure if I would again. We were trying to find a spot that was dog-friendly and had what people were in the mood for.Everyone was very friendly and we were seated outside. There are giant games for people to play, which was pretty cool, like Jenga, Connect 4, and some weird ring-hook thing on a string.Food was okay. I don't know how they did it, but a LOT of stuff was pretty dry. I had the French onion soup (which was interesting with green scallions and very cheesy and good) and the maple bourbon steak tips. The steak tips weren't that juicy, and the baked potato was dry and mealy. One of my kids complained about how the mac and cheese was pretty plain... I tried it, and there was very, very little cheese flavor to it. (We got a side of cheese sauce to help with that.) Tried another kid's chicken parm... again, the chicken was pretty dry inside. Was pretty weird. The cheese curds were very good though! With three kids and two adults, the total came out to be $200ish with tip, which was pretty crazy. I was glad to leave a good tip, but the food leaves a lot to be desired.Extra note: the review responses are great... it's fantastic to see engagement like that. Along with defending themselves against a rude customer... I love it! Always two sides to the story...
We stayed in ossipee on July 16 and 17 2022. Knew no place to eat. Looked up on line for local restaurants. OMG was on the list and near where we were staying. So we said hey we’re tired let’s just go there to eat. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who let us know we could sit where we wanted to. So we picked our seats and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful waitress named us Angelica. I highly recommend her if you go. We ordered our food and we’re very pleased with the quality and quantity of food. The mussels were tasty and seemed to have a garlic flavor. She also ordered the steak tip dinner and that was amazing. Tender and cooked to perfection. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and was in awe of the size and flavor. I spoke with the owner and she just mad two weekend tourists feel like family. We went back for lunch on Sunday and we’re just as pleased with our meal also. Well worth stopping in for. They also allow dogs on leash in restaurant. Just a bonus for people with dogs. Can’t wait to go back and see the owner and her staff. Hope Angelica will be there that night.
OMG! We had tried a restaurant up the street and they were closed. We stopped at Rivers Edge Tavern and they only had a lunch menu. I love both of those places. So I said we should try OMG. I am thrilled that we did. T had grilled chicken with summer and zucchini squash with a baked potato, hubby had baked haddock and the veggies also. Prices are really affordable and the wait staff was friendly. I gave it 5 stars and will be making this our “go to” and first on our list. Thank you OMG for a nice evening out. Beautiful inside too. So glad you are close to home. Best wishes for success!Kim Martel, Sandwich NH
Disappointed. We live within 5 minutes walk to this restaurant and were truly hoping to discover a better dining experience that would expand our options.OMG sits very handily on the west side of Rt.16, located 6.3 miles north of Rt. 28 from Wolfeboro, 2.5 miles north of Rt.25 from Portland, ME and 3.2 miles south of Rt.25 from Meredith. The cramped, but very clean and nicely outfitted restaurant, bar, and ice cream stand was entirely refurbished in recent years and bears no resemblance to the former greasy spoon breakfast diners that once occupied the walls. Its combination hi-boy and wall oriented open seating is cramped and close for those desiring intimacy, and can be somewhat noisy when filled. If you don't want to sit at the center bar, a hi-boy, or sit next to strangers while dining, this is probably not the place for you.The menu is fairly extensive, offering a good selection of fare. Portions are quite large. My baked haddock was nicely prepared, though a little dry, covered with an odd, starchy bread coating. My wife enjoyed her very large dish of cheese-rich mac and cheese. However, it was nearly three times as much as she could possibly eat in one serving, and pasta doesn't reheat well. Better a lower priced offering of a more sensible portion.Cons: Service was very friendly and well staffed, and the waitresses hustled, but food preparation was very, very, slow. My wife and I were not served for nearly one hour after being seated. I know that more time is required for individual food preparation, but that's simply far too long to wait.My wife and I certainly did not enjoy drinking our glasses of tepid, very warm Chardonnay from their industrial grade, thick, round-bottom tumblers, which were filled stingily to only two fingers. It was really awful. Nothing is worse than a glass of warm wine served in a thick glass. Yuck.Management must understand that glassware absolutely affects taste perception of liquor and wine, and that there's absolutely no substitute for serving wine in a traditional stemmed wine glass, as all restaurants do. Glassware is made in traditional shapes for wine and liquor for a distinct reason, not just because. Tumblers are for water, and wine must be kept at the correct temperatures; certainly never warm. Very, very unpalatable. We judged their prices to be quite stiff for a small restaurant in the Ossipee area, though out of state travellers passing through, used to high prices would probably find their prices attractive. But, this is not Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, or Rhode Island, and it's not high priced coastal Maine. Don't even think about belly clams unless you seriously have money to burn.In short, we came away moderately pleased with the meal, but very disappointed in the wine and long wait, and overcharged compared to better service nearby.I really hate to make comparisons, but in fairness to those unfamiliar with the area, who seek the best of this sort of family dining with no shortcomings and delicious, bountiful food, (fantastic fish and seafood) I will always recommend Mountain View Restaurant in Center Ossipee. OMG can certainly improve in the areas mentioned, and I'd be glad to rank them likewise. The problem with such experiences is the lack of incentive to give mediocrity a second try. That works for grabbing one-timers passing through and for those who are unaware of other options, but not for educated locals.
Small, plus I came to see a local act and asked for a soda because I don't drink and she didn't say anything to me and just stared at me like I was a burden. After staring at me she finally walked to get the drink. Older blonde woman could definitely use some work on customer interaction skills.
Very deceiving from the outside. Very nice bar and outdoor seating. Can accommodate large groups. Food was delicious, staff was great and atmosphere was nice. We will definitely be back!!

Food was great...regular area prices. Great service by Morgan the bartender! I will be back for sure! (The giant pretzel with the homemade cheese was great!)
4.5 rating. Wish google did half ratings. Great food, the buffalo wrap had a kick and I feel I can handle some heat. I've done the Hot Ones challenge at home haha. Excellent food, would recommend.
Seemed like a nice, clean little bar/grill in what seems like a restaurant desert along Rt. 16. We were there at around 5:00 PM on a Sunday and the place only had a few customers. Full bar service, about 8-9 tables and menu was relatively short but all presentations were served with attention to detail. Steak tips and grilled chicken we're both delicious on generous salads and the staff was friendly. Will DEFINATELY return.
Great find would give it another half star. Walked in with no expectations, walked out a return customer. Everyone in our 4 person party enjoyed their appetizers and meal. I was the only one drinking and was pleased with my old fashioned. 2 of us had the steak special, another had steak tips, the last a chicken Caesar salad. I saw a couple of the butt hurt comments on here giving negative reviews, but our service/server (Morgan) was great. The second our drinks were empty he asked if we wanted refills. I asked for a loaded baked potato with my steak, even though it wasn't available, he made it happen. Don't let the couple of sensitive Sally and Karen reviews sway you from not going. Absolutely love this place! Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Thrilled they've reopened and anxious to visit them often this year!
