Food was great - we've always loved Grappelli's, even more so with the new owners. We had the Pizza of the Month and it was so tasty! However it was our first time dining in, and I was a little disappointed for the following reason - we had our 10-month-old daughter with us, and as it turns out, Grappelli's isn't so family-friendly. We had just driven an hour to meet family for lunch, and we immediately needed a diaper change. I headed back to the restroom to find no area to change my daughter. Thankfully, I had a changing pad in our bag, and changed my daughter on the bathroom floor (yuck). We came out from the bathroom to sit down for lunch, and unfortunately no highchairs were available. The food was awesome, but the dining-in experience left me not wanting to return because I felt it was not baby-friendly! Otherwise, absolutely no complaints. Just a heads up to anyone with toddlers/babies!Kid-friendliness: Not baby-friendly.

I've ordered twice from Grappelli's now. The first time, both pizzas were bland and nothing special. This last time, they had a special that looked enticing, "The Hibiscus". The description and picture looked great. When we got it home, we were disappointed with the skimpy toppings. It was flavorful, and definitely better than what we received on our first visit, but it's not what was advertised. Tough to go lower than three stars, because even bad pizza is still pizza.

Pizza was good but needed some garlic powder to make it great. Crust was pretty tough. Their onion rings and fries are excellent.
The food is okay but the service and environment was terrible. It was an hour before closing and all of the chairs were upside down on top of the tables. Not very welcoming. We did take some chairs down to sit and dine in. It took forever for 2 subs and a salad and they were not very busy. When our food was ready is was handed to us in a to go bag as if to say "get out and please don't eat here". The staff likes to listen to heavy metal or acid rock music and they like to listen to it loudly so be prepared if you plan to eat there. One of the worst dine in experiences we've ever had. It will be our first and last visit based on the experience which is unfortunate as the food was fine.

Good gluten free pizza. I got the BBQ chicken. Chicken was dry but it was still tasty. I would cut the chicken into smaller pieces.
