I'm super picky and always land up ordering like Sally (substitute this and that) .... Kara took my order perfectly and with a smile instead of impatience .... and the food was perfect-- I intended to only eat half and have the rest for lunch tomorrow but I inhaled the whole thing .... A+

I don't understand anyone leaving a positive review. I went with a bunch of people and something was wrong with everything. All the drinks, all the food, all made wrong. I wish I could rate the food as a zero. Our waitress was nice but it was clear she didn't trust the cook to make anything right. We are never going back.
Came here in July 2025 as it was the only decent place in Pittsburg to get a bite to eat that was not booked up. Had some salmon and taters, and they were delicious. Service was friendly, but the cooks were a bit slow and it was a bit disorganized upstairs. All in all, a good experience and I will be sure to be back next time I am in Pittsburg looking for moose!

Our first visit to the 1840 was hands down, a very enjoyable experience. One of the specials was a fried clam dinner. I was very schepticle about clams, being so far from the coast but I took the chance. They were incredible!!
