We just ate here Fri 10/17/25 upstairs and it was terrible. The food was gross especially the fish sandwich. Two of the people i was with got it and it was completely over cooked frozen fish and saturated in grease. One of them looked like they got the tail and it was over fried and disgusting looking. I got the meatball panini and it wasn’t good either. Both the sauce and meatballs were over cooked (burnt sauce) yet bland. The waitress (a girl w black hair) and host guy that i interacted with when we came up from the lower level were both rude and pushy with us. My friend complained about the fish sandwich the waitress literally said “oh well” and walked away.
I will say the young girl with black hair working the bar on the lower level was friendly and professional. The rest of the staff were immature and borderline rude.
Go there for a drink and leave.

Great service. Various food selection. I enjoyed my meal and would go back.
Quick bite apps and then a entree to go for late evening class. The steak tips were amazing!

Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting in my opinion. very watery, and didn't taste like cheese at all. the haddock was very fishy, it didn't taste very fresh. the staff were nice enough to remove the mac and cheese off the bill. cute busy little restaurant. food was not good though

DO NOT SUGGEST THIS TAVERN
Our first clue about this place should have been the lack of people inside on a Saturday night.
Last night a group of us went out to celebrate our best friend’s upcoming wedding. Excited, tired, hungry and ready for dinner. When we walked in the hostess/waitress happily seated our group of seven at a table. When she came back to take our order she informed us that the manager refused to serve us any drinks containing alcohol because “they did not know where we had been prior to arriving there” we let her know that we just left our airbnb and were looking to grab drinks and dinner after a long day of hiking.
First of all, we never met the manager, no clue who it was. We only spoke to one person at the restaurant who was our hostess/waitress.
When the waitress informed us of this We were all hurt and embarrassed to say the least. False assumptions that were made without the manager even speaking to us directly. Out of disbelief we respectfully said we were going to leave their establishment and see what other options were in the area.
Come to find out the joke was on us because this unprofessional, judgmental and unseen manager had told all the other bars in town that we were “cut off and not to served”. The best part is that we only found this out when we were informed by a waitress at the 3rd bar & grill we tried to eat & drink at. She informed us that the manger at “lucky Dog” had sent out a notice to surrounding bars to cut us off. At least the waitress at the 3rd bar was up front.
The unseen manager at Lucky dog claims we were “loud, excessively intoxicated, and that the first two girls to enter the restaurant were slurring their words and had a sex doll”
To clarify we were nothing but happy, polite, excited, hungry and thirsty. We had nothing to drink for we were hiking all day which is why we were dressed up and happy to be out on the town.
We had some women in our group whose first language is not English. The comment about slurring words was an assumption off of two women in our group who have heavy accents. I think we were in the restaurant for a total of 5 minutes and never met the manager so how would that person know ? As for the sex doll it was not. It was a blow up doll that we dressed up so that the bride could pretend to have her soon to be husband with her for fun. If the blow up doll with a bow tie was a problem a simple ask could have cleared everything up. we were more than polite and non confrontational hence why we left without a problem.
They treated our group like a bunch of strays as soon as we walked in their doors. This was a DISSAPPOINTING experience to say the least. You turned down business owners, managers, health professionals and environmental scientists because of your LIES, POOR JUDGEMENT and UNFAIR ASSUMPTIONS. Shame on you.

The was the FIRST restaurant we tried to get food and drinks at… they sat us down, and the moment the waitress asked what we wanted to drink, she turned around and said they couldn’t serve us because they “didn’t know where we’ve been.” Excuse me? We had JUST walked out of our Airbnb to celebrate our best friend’s marriage. Not a single drink in us, nothing but excitement.
That comment alone was disgusting, but it gets worse — we later found out this restaurant went into their so-called “town-wide group chat” and claimed they had already “cut us off,” telling other places not to serve us. Completely false, completely unfair, and completely unprofessional.
If this is how they treat paying customers — making assumptions, spreading lies, and blacklisting people before they even order — then this town clearly doesn’t value visitors or their business.
