At first, we were a little annoyed that a few businesses claim to be open but were actually closed. We were recommend it to try Phat Boyz. We came in and the bartender greeted us and told us we could sit anywhere. We decided on a seat at the bar. It took a minute for the bartender to come to us, she was working with a group of customers. I asked about them having a more winter beer in their selection of draft beers and she recommended a beer for me to try, she came back so fast with two options, I was a bit surprised. We decided on the prime rib sandwich. The bartender told us that it came with their homemade sauce and asked if we wanted the option of cheese. We asked if there was a local cheese that was used and she went right to the kitchen to find out for us. While at the kitchen, she got a smoke sample of their own barbecue sauce for us to try. We mentioned that we didn't really like sauce that was too spicy or hot, more flavorful. Were pleasantly surprised with the option of tasting their personal sauce that was on the mild side. And it is a solid BBQ sauce! Now we live only an hour from Buffalo NY, so wings are out thing! The wings were huge!! I have to add that to blue cheese actually had chunks of blue cheese in it and it seemed like they whipped base dressing separately and then added the extra chunks of blue cheese. Definitely a step up than what you would expect in a college town area.
The only reason they didn't get five stars is the drums were a little undercooked, not raw.

Came in for lunch today (Saturday Oct 4th) and the service was extremely slow. We only ordered nachos and we were a bit disappointed when the food came to our table. Barely any lettuce. The sour cream was given to us in a squeeze pouch. They charge $4 for a side of guacamole that comes in a very small plastic container. Not enough for an entire plate of nachos. On top of that… the guac was absolutely disgusting. Dark green and slimy. Is this guacamole?

We ordered two ice teas. We asked for lemons and the server brought them to us with her bare hands. If your restaurant doesn’t have picks or tongs to grab fruit, you should get some. Fruit should never be served to a table by the staffs bare hands. The ice tea tasted like water as well.

My mom and I ordered take out through DoorDash - a cheeseburger and a Jamaican chicken salad, no special preferences or substitutions. DoorDash said it would be about 60-72 minutes, we had ordered at about 3:20. We arrived at Phat Boyz at about 4:10 to pick it up, it was not ready. We waited until 4:45 before we eventually just gave up and went somewhere else - even if you’re packed to the gills busy, it should never take over an hour, much less an hour and a half for a cheeseburger and a salad.

What really took us by surprise and made us frustrated was the service. We asked multiple times for an accurate time on when our food would be ready and all we got was “just a few more minutes.” The host (?) rolled her eyes at us multiple times as if we were the ones in the wrong for thinking it wasn’t normal for an order to take this long. There was never an apology. You would think when I walked in the door at 4:10, there would be somewhat of an urgency to get the order out, but there was zero urgency, they did not care. They kept saying they were busy, which it is Plymouth Homecoming so I can imagine it WAS busy but while waiting the thirty-five minutes at Phat Boyz, there were about 10 tables/bar parties sat and no other take out orders coming out of the kitchen…so what was the real issue here?

Phat Boyz/Phat Fish was one of our go-to’s coming home after hiking. It definitely will not be on our list after this experience.

Not impressed. I'm not sure how they even received a 4.2 rating. Alcohol specials that they didn't have the alcohol for. Food came out in shifts. Will not go back.

I really do love sitting on the patio of Phat Boyz.. Downtown Plymouth provides a great atmosphere, and there are some great places to eat.. Phat Boyz is one of those great choices.. This Sunday I swung in and was actually thinking I was going to do some Wings, which are GREAT.. I however got the Prime Rib Sandwich special. My god, was I glad I did. I was not sure what I was expecting, but a perfectly seasoned, and tender slab of prime rib on a bun, was not it. When I say this sandwich was great, I am underselling it.. Paired with a Last Chair IPA made it a pretty amazing lunch. I will be looking for this on the special again for sure!

I was so impressed by this place. Three of my sisters and I were just looking for a casual lunch on a beautiful summer day. The drinks were good. The service with Vicky was fabulous. The food was very good. They’re known for their chicken but I didn’t want to eat with my hands around the bones. (You all know my type.) So, I ordered boneless. Vicky served them with my chosen sauces and an abundant side of celery and carrot sticks. I also had a good salad. My sisters ordered a variety of sandwiches. The pork special had sold out and Vicky immediately suggested a great alternative. Everyone was happy! So many places these days serve frozen chicken products. Not this place. They truly are special.

The recent dining experience presented several areas of concern. This review constitutes a third instance of dissatisfaction, and while positive aspects are typically considered, this experience lacked them. The discrepancies began with outdated pricing on the Google Maps profile, which listed inaccurate menu prices. The à la carte pricing structure, coupled with ingredient inconsistencies, further detracted from the experience. The chicken tacos, initially priced at $9.00 on the Google Maps menu, were billed at $10.00, with additional charges for sour cream and salsa. An additional taco was priced at $4.00. While the portion size of the shredded chicken was adequate, the taco lacked sufficient cheese and featured lettuce instead of cabbage. The onions were thinly sliced, and the chicken's flavor profile was mild. The addition of coleslaw could have enhanced the overall taste. The fried mushrooms, listed at $8.00 on the Google Maps menu, were invoiced at $12.00. The batter's flavor profile suggested the use of oil that had not been recently refreshed, and the dish was served without the accompanying sauce shown in the promotional material.
Regarding the jalapeño bacon burger, the menu price was not available on Google. The final cost, inclusive of optional add-ons, totaled $18.00. The burger itself was well-received, with a favorable taste profile and a generous portion size. Keep in mind there is also a 3.00% card surcharge. Our total bill for two entrees and one appetizer was $50.52.
