Finally placed a takeout order at Bob's having passed by it many times, and glad we tried it. Our order was ready on time as promised and was accurately put together. I tried a broiled quarter chicken with two sides (mac & cheese, sausage stuffing) and some corn bread. Everything seemed home made, hot and quite tasty. The stuffing really seemed home made, but the mac and cheese was a tad dry for my liking. The chicken was tender, moist and delicious. Like most food these days at any restaurant/supermarket, prices seemed a tad high. Portion sizes were generous however. I'll be back to try the chicken pot pie, which is one of my favorite comfort food dishes. Give Bob's a try! Sorry no photos as I dug in so quickly I forgot to snap first!

Our family dined in today, and it was a delightful experience. Friendly wait staff, excellent food, comfortable ambience.The opener was a thick slice of fresh, warm cornbread. Between us we had the tenders, fried chicken steak and grilled breast sandwich. All the chicken was cooked perfectly, nice and juicy. The vegetables were fresh and nicely seasoned. The generous portions translated into leftovers for dinner. Two meals for the price of one!Oh, and pie. Did I mention pie? You must have pie. Bob knows pie!

Bob's has the greatest chicken in town! All of their plates have a homecooked feel - the cornbread is to die for and I loved their chicken tenders. Very cozy atmosphere inside as well!

They have the most delicious buffalo chicken tenders and they make their own Bleu cheese dressing that's equally amazing! Staff is super friendly! Highly recommended! I go here for takeout as often as I can!
Great home cooked food and an excellent wait staff. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for an honest to God home cooked meal with a calm and welcoming atmosphere. One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long long time.

This review is long overdue. Ordered take out this evening again. The chicken tender dinner with a side of cole slaw and mashed potatoes. Everything from the pleasant service to the way the food was packed, to the taste of the food was fantastic. Bob makes a habit of being on the premises which is a key reason why there's consistency. The chicken is cooked to perfection. Everything tastes so fresh. I love this restaurant because they're always grateful. This is my go-to restaurant for fresh chicken. PS: the blueberry pie isn't so bad either. They know my weakness!

The nostalgia this place brings is unbeatable! I felt like I was back in time sitting at my Meme’res kitchen table sipping on her “Junk Soup” as she called it as I sat and waited for my takeout on their Homemade Chicken Vegetable Soup (no noodles) and a Local Squamscot Old Fashioned Grape Soda. The soup was full of a fresh variety of veggies and plentiful bites of chicken. I ordered a Family Meal Rotisserie Whole Chicken which comes quartered with 2 Large Sides (I chose Homemade Real Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Mac & Cheese which is my youngest son’s Favorite!)I can’t Wait to get home to share this meal with my Family. We will Definitely be visiting Bob’s again!!

18 dollars for 12 mcdonalds level frozen chicken nuggets and fries that were a dark brown- either overcooked in the frier by 5 minutes, under a hot light for 12 hours, or were left overs from the day before.Waste of money. Get 90% the quality for 1/10th the price at burger king.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this beautiful establishment yet after all these years of me visiting. There's nowhere around like this restaurant. You can tell just how fresh everything is, from scratch and "home cooked". Bobs stuffing would be on my death row meal. Top notch service anytime you visit and a very good meal and perfect portion sizes. I survived during the pandemic by eating the soup he sells. Sooooooo good. Try one of everything

You definitely get a homey/from scratch- made food vibe (and I do believe everything is made from scratch)... quality comfort food when you need it and they use compostable packaging which is thoughtful. They were kind enough to include free cornbread in my order. Look forward to ordering again and/or stopping in!
