My boyfriend took me here for our anniversary dinner. I'm a line cook, and have worked as a chef. I have nothing but glowing reviews, and this is the kind of restaurant I aspire to open one day.This is a small, intimate restaurant with an extremely thoughtful and dedicated staff. They have parking available, which is an unusual luxury for Portsmouth. The food is inventive and excellent- modern French cuisine is very apt. Portion sizes are thoughtful to enable you to finish each dish while still craving the next. The gin cocktails are delicious, beautiful, and pair wonderfully with the menu. The FOH was also incredibly considerate towards my boyfriend, who is vegan. Overall, excellent ambience, drinks, food, and service. Botanica is a special experience. Thank you for making our night so wonderful. This reminds me why we do such hard work every night.Parking: Has a lot, an unusual luxury for dining in portsmouth

Made a reservation here and i'm so glad that i did!!This is a fabulous restaurant and gin bar with a romantic atmosphere and fabulous service and food. i ordered the steak frites and a side salad instead of the fries. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so tasty. My daughter got the fries and they were crispy and salty. So good!!!!

Really enjoyed our first visit to Botanical! Great cocktails, and an imaginative menu. Order the chocolate souffle early!Parking: The building contains apartments as well as ground floor businesses. Some spots are reserved for residents, but we found spots.

Great cocktails here! For our tastes, the menu is short, but really limited more for us as we eat gluten and dairy free (yeah I know, it’s a French restaurant). I’ve had the halibut twice and it’s been delicious.

Definitely plan ahead as this place books up fast. I was able to get an outdoor table on the patio, and although it is nice to have both options I find that the indoor tables are a better option. The only reason I say this is because the patio is right outside of the parking lot and entry door, which can get loud and disruptive. It might be benefical to set up privacy dividers to create a more intimate experience. The menu is limited, but each item is well curated. They provide a variety of uniquely crafted cocktails. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive, but also give you your space.
