Super cute cafe/bakery tucked in around the corner from the main square. Their coffee was perfect and the hermit (little spice cookie bar) was to die for. Would certainly recommend!

Myself and my best friend were on a road trip to Portland, ME when we decided to stop in Portsmouth and were instantly in love with the town and all the little shops. We decided to stop in Ceres Bakery to use the bathroom and buy a treat.
Some businesses just exceed at creating an incredibly warm, cozy, and welcoming enviornment. I could have spent hours here if it wasn't for our limited time. It is certainly a business I would love to come back and support.

Everyone was friendly and the iced coffee/pastry was delicious. 10/10
Went there on a recommendation from Dan at Courtyard Marriot (thx Dan!) Had a breakfast sandwich and wife had quiche. Organic French Roast coffee. All delicious. Needed to grab something the next morning before heading home and went right back. The cinnamon roll is not to be missed.

I heard Ceres had the best carrot cake, so I called to see if I could order one for my boyfriend’s birthday. I called towards the end of their day on a wednesday and they were able to have a carrot cake for me by friday! It was easy to order and the staff was kind and helpful! Everyone agreed it was the best carrot cake they’ve ever had. My boyfriend who usually isn’t a huge dessert person ate all of the left overs over the next week. I also picked up a chocolate croissant while i was in there and that might have been a mistake because now that’s all i think about…. it was delicious.

We ordered three cakes for a family get together the gluten-free chocolate cake, the blueberry lemon, and the carrot cake. All were beautiful and absolutely delicious! Say we’re not overly sweet but delightful. Plus, they were soy free, which was important to several in our group
