Excellent whiskey and cigar bar in downtown Portsmouth, NH. Great whiskey and scotch selection. Bartender was great; attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for a couple pours after dinner, this is the place.I’d go back for sure.

Came in here with a friend and asked for two shots of Casamigos. When I got the bill I was shocked to see the cost was about $37 for two shots (not even doubles). I paid, tipped 3 dollars and left telling my friend I can't believe I just paid $40 for two shots. I then got my credit card statement and saw a total charge of $48. I'm pretty sure that is illegal to do. Really disappointing, we had a good experience a few years ago when we came here and now they have a bartender that flat out steals from people.

We attempted to check it out. We arrived early in the day, and no one was around. Not even a bartender! So we left. Also, there is no way the ac can circulate the air that well. It’s in a basement and it was warm and stuffy. Only recommend if you are a smoker and if you go later in the day I guess.

I go here about once a week and enjoy the opportunity to smoke in a well-ventilated environment. The service is good and bartenders skilled. The liquor selection is limited, but that is because the space itself is relatively small. They do a good job of keeping the more popular, high-end alcohols. The cigar selection is excellent; there is a $20 cutting fee if you bring your own, although that is sometimes waived if you spend a lot on drinks as I do.There is a special members lounge with a large screen TV and personal cigar lockers. It costs around $1,000 a year to be a member.The bathroom is very nice and other aspects of the ambiance are generally good although the space itself is a little cramped.I docked a star and almost two because they often play loud rap music which is completely obnoxious and out of character with the otherwise laid back atmosphere.

Hate to only give it two stars but for the last three weekends (over the last 5 months) I’ve been in the Portsmouth area and planned to spend a few hours in the lounge, the folks in the store said “we don’t know where our bartender is“. The lounge itself is great but you simply can’t trust that they’re going to be open for their listed hours.

Relaxed atmosphere, jazz and 60s classics for music, wonderful staff helps with cigar and drink pairings. Veteran and beginner smokers are both welcome. Also the cleanest and nicest restroom I've ever seen for any bar/restaurant. If you're looking for a different vibe for your night out, then I highly suggest paying a visit.
