Habibi mediterranean Café is the best restaurant there is in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The cuisine and ambience is like no other in New Hampshire. It is an intimate environment, but in the heart of Portsmouth, New Hampshire for those who are truly locals. On top of having the best spicy hummus, falafel wraps, Harissa sauce AND pizza! This family who owns Habibi has truly became my family. I hope all who can in the Portsmouth area can go enjoy their truly amazing food and please tell them Emily sent you. ❤️

If a hospital cafeteria made an attempt at middle eastern food. Food is ok, but in no way good. Baba Ganoush and hummus both watered down, with very little flavor. Kebab is ok, but not grilled, and again lacking the normal flavor you’d expect.

Food is poorly prepared; I had a Gyro plate, the Lamb was in kabob style, had been precooked, probably steamed, then microwaved at service and overcooked/poor quality. Pan fried & seasoned should have been done. Reheated rice. Just careless, tasteless preparation. I had to eat with my coat on as it was 40° & door was wide open. Toilet was malfunctioned & bathroom poorly cleaned. Service is counter, they deliver, & they want a minimum 17% tip.

Delicious Mediterranean food. Really great vegan choices. Reasonably priced.

Vegetarian options: I got the Mediterranean wrap with salad. Very filling and delicious. Hummus is great!

I spent $368 on a catering order and asked for 15 plastic forks…she said that would be an additional $10! Seriously! Never ever have experienced this lack of customer service!!!!!!

Habibi is an essential feature of the local community, with delicious Mediterranean food, excellent atmosphere, and exceptionally kind and hardworking people. Myself and my family have been coming here for years, and the folks here have always welcomed us with open arms as friends. I always, always recommend Habibi to others, and though I'm not in the Portsmouth area as often as I used to be, I always try to find the time to pay Habibi a visit when I return. Truly unforgettable.
