This was my 2nd time coming here, the first time the steak and cheese was good. The reason I came back, the 2nd time was not good. I don't know if it was because they had a young crew (teenagers) working. I took a few bites and it just didn't taste right, it wasn't good. The bartender came and asked if I wanted a box I said no, she then asked me if I liked it and I told her no. She told me she took it off my bill but it was still on my bill. Lesson learned .. there won't be a third time. It's out of my way to go there. I just happened to be in the neighborhood.

Great local find by my coworker. We were in the area for a week on business and just happened to notice this place when driving by. Later in the week we stopped in after work for an early dinner or late lunch. We were both very impressed by the food. The bartenders were also very nice and attentive. Would highly recommend checking this place out when in the Portsmouth area.

First time coming into the shop. Stopped in for what I had heard was a great cheese steak sub.
I walked into the door by a counter with a young guy who took my order. There was undue confusion about toppings, but we got through it. (Clearly I've ordered more cheese steaks than he'd taken orders - he must have been new at the shop, and I think to jobs in general - young guy who never seemed to notice how ordering works while growing up)
I went into the next room where I expected to find seating, which I did but also a full bar that I never need existed. Nice. The two bartenders were veterans who got the service rating up a couple of stars from where the kids left it.
The sub was fine but I didn't find it better than average. They use cubed steak, versus shaved. I like both. $15 seemed high for what I got, but heck, that might be normal now. Prices seem to go up every month, and I treat myself to a cheese steak less frequently than that.
Overall fine, but nothing above average. Except for the two ladies running the bar, they were good. If I go back, I'll go to the bar and try it out.

I did change my review from what it previously said. You can’t go wrong with the steak bomb best around. What I can say is the service that I got last night was great, until I asked if there was ketchup in the bag ( previously they always gave you ketchup in the bag when you purchased FF, O-ring ect, I noticed they didn’t have any condiments out to grab either.) as the young man handed me the ketchup and walked back into the kitchen, I was walking out the door. I heard the kids say “No b#tch, you never asked for it) I did not find that appropriate. If this is the kind of help you guys hire, I will not be back

If your looking to get in and eat quickly, you won't. We walked in and asked to sit down, was told to go in the back where we would be handed a menu by a waitress. Picked up a couple of sodas went in the back and sat down. 10 minutes later nobody had even looked our way to acknowledge us. Decided not worth waiting and went to the front to pay for the two sodas. Expressed our dissatisfaction with the service and woman at counter told us the staff in back were less than useless. Paid and walked out...will NOT be back.

My husband and I have never had a bad meal here. Prices are very reasonable, portions are great. New items on menu, chicken broccoli Alfredo is awsome! Plenty of parking very relaxed atmosphere.
Called, was immediately put on hold. Sat on hold for five minutes, hung up, called back. I was immediately put on hold again. After another five minutes, I hung up. If you aren't going to offer online ordering, then you should have staff who do not just answer the phone just to make it be quiet. Horrible service.
