Wonderful service and delicious food. When our upstairs table was not yet ready, due to our early arrival, the staff accommodated us by offering a downstairs table. We really appreciated the gracious offer and enjoyed our meal (especially the mussels!)

My cappuccino and my husband’s latte were great!

My husband ordered a croissant: it was good, but we can make something just as good or even better at home, so it didn’t really surprise us.
I ordered the Croque Madame, which definitely wasn’t a real croque more like a cheap imitation

I’ve had several Croque Madames in NYC and other places, and they’re always creamy, cheesy and flavorful.
This one, though, was really dry, the bread was badly burnt, the egg had no salt or black pepper, there was no creaminess, the ham was thin and I could barely taste the cheese… I was disappointed

Macarons: 9/10

I’m not sure I’d go back, but maybe I’d give it a second chance

I love this place! You should eat here asap. Freshly-baked pastries, crepes made right in front of you at the counter, great coffee. We should all 100% support this amazing local business.

Great pastry after a long day of meetings. Macarons were perfect as well as the pear tart. Great service 👏

I can't begin to share how much I love their build your own Sammie. I have never been disappointed and switch it up every time I visit, this AM - croissant, 2 scrambled & gruyere. Gruyere is a must! They always cook the eggs lightly so they are delicate & soft. Can't beat it. Also got a Classique Crepe, good till the last bite also

The croissant sandwiches are great. Now is the time to eat outside and people watch

Wonderful! This place always exceeds expectations. Love it! Always a must do on our frequent Portsmouth visits.

Cozy second floor restaurant with attentive but unobtrusive servers and good selection of affordable wines. We shared the baked Brie which was plenty for two, though some had it as an entree. The chicken breast was juicy and served with scrumptious mushrooms and sauce over pappardelle. The Beef bourguignon, tender cubes of flavorful beef in sauce with carrots and pearl onions served over mashed potatoes, was perfect for the rainy night we dined. We did not try the (select your own) charcuterie board but envied those who did! Even the least amount of meat and cheese were accompanied by nuts, chocolate, cornichon and jam. We made last minute 6:15 reservations on a Thursday night and although there were a few open tables they quickly became occupied. Strongly recommend this gem. Look for the French flag!

Stopped in for lunch. Cute bistro atmosphere. Crepes Provençales made with traditional buckwheat flour were delicious. Served with a nice side salad.

The best part of my visit to this bistro was their young staff member named Leo! He went above and beyond to give us great service and he wasn't even our waiter. The food was okay but, Leo made our visit memorable. Passion like his should be rewarded so I tipped him for going above and beyond.

La Maison Navarre (affectionately known as LMN) is a special place. From casual breakfast & lunch dining to finer dinner experiences in the wine bar, the food is always fresh, simple yet impressive and delicious. Last night, we had dinner with a friend and Crystal was our server. She was friendly and attentive (and fun!) and Chef Gretchen made our Herbed Chicken dishes specifically to our liking. Kudos to the great staff, quaint and delightful atmosphere and wonderful food and wine selection.

Excellence served with quiet grace; a bistro to savor.

I got a coffee and dessert here. The coffee was fine and I took home the dessert. I got the Royal au Chocolat and for nearly $9 I expected it to be delicious. It was honestly terrible and I am really disappointed.
