Macaroons and Gelato were delicious. Best bottle of lemonade Ive ever bought. Nice staff.
Super disappointed I got six macaroons for $21 and they had absolutely no taste to them
Presentation was good, but flavor was definitely lacking
The macarons were delicious and the coffee was great. We ordered some sandwiches and they were quick, filling and also delicious. Overall a wonderful experience and somewhere I would visit again.
Lovely place in Portsmouth market square. Delectable lemon tart. These tarts can be well tarty but this one was just right. These tarts tiramisu gelato was an eye opener. Sometimes an eatable is named like a suggestion- not this one. Just what the name suggests.
Lovely French Restaurant and great food! However, the food came out late because the female cook spent too much time talking with a mail friend.
Gelato Was Great
My husband loves their macaroons. They have a wide variety. A little pricey but well worth it.
I’ve been coming here for years to pick up their amazing French pastries—especially the macarons, which are always top-notch. Last night, we finally tried the Wine Bar for the first time, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The food and service were both excellent.
We started with the sesame-crusted tuna and the French baguette with butter. Both were delicious. I’m a big fan of good French bread, and this one was outstanding—super crispy and crunchy on the outside, soft and warm inside. The homemade butter it came with was incredible.
For our main courses, we ordered the Creole Crab Risotto and the Short Rib en Croûte from their summer menu. The risotto was cooked just right, perfectly seasoned, and the crab was fresh and flavorful. But the real standout was the short rib dish—braised short rib, caramelized onions, and Gruyère all wrapped in a golden, flaky puff pastry with a rich demi-glace. It was bursting with flavor and absolutely unforgettable. If it’s still on the menu, you have to try it.
We ended the night with an espresso, a latte, and their Chocolate Sea Salt Lava Cake, which was just as good as it sounds.
All in all, I had a fantastic experience and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!
Classic French pastry that's quite delicious. We did not eat the savory options today. We bought macarons and I picked up a croissant with salted butter and burnt sugar. Instant addiction.
This place is a gem. Small room keeps things quieter. Eric, the server is well versed on the menu and shows enthusiasm for the food while providing great service. Gretchen the chef is inventive and thoughtful as she designs the menu. We saw the new summer menu ( starts week of June 15) and it sounds fantastic.

I love this restaurant, I go for the cafe and the dinner experience. It's very aesthetically pleasing and the staff are wonderful. When ordering I always get their espresso martinis which are delicious! Highly recommend this place if you are in the Portsmouth area.
What a fantastic EXPERIENCE. The Cheese fondue along with a platter with a variety of foods was unique. A small setting that is special and intimate. A seasoned and friendly staff.
Unfortunately the Open Table description did not make it sound like we'd be dining in a wine bar above a cafe owned by the same company selling equally delicious French food for a small percentage of the price. The dead wine bar required a credit card reservation otherwise we would gladly have cancelled and joined the vibrant cafe scene downstairs.
Delicious dinner. Finely crafted drinks, great wine and charcuterie selection. Entrees were delicate and refined. I can't wait to go back to the wine bar!
Been here a few times; remarkable French pastries, excellent sandwiches and this time wonderful Sunday brunch. Great staff, very close to a Parisian experience. Don't miss!
