All the staff was so friendly and extremely helpful. The decor and ambiance was very unique and welcoming. The food was truly otherworldly. I wish I could eat the carpacio, the carbonara, and the tiramisu every meal for the rest of my life. 10/5 stars.

Great evening . However , we didn’t need the menu lesson at the beginning. We were also reminded several times that our time at the table was limited . For $400, I want to relax not be rushed

What an excellent place! Feels warm and inviting... mostly because of the people there. Everyone was super professional and as nice as you could ever expect, from the servers to the barkeeps to the owner. And every bite of every plate was excellent.

Really nice spot. Hospitality when you first walk in, profesh service, Lily was awesome. Meatball was phenomenal other foods were solid. Drinks were well balanced and the atmosphere was wit on. Will come back for sure. Nice job everyone. Thank you.

The Saltimbocca was not good, almost no prosciutto hard to find the sage taste and zero pan sauce, which is a shame for this flagship Italian dish the sauce was thickened with corn starch, not flour from flouring the veal, also the asparagus side was returned so terribly salty. Cocktails great, side pasta great help was great and so was the atmosphere not very pleased with my swordfish it was just ok

This is definitely a 5 star experience! Booked a last minute reservation for my husband’s 30th birthday. The restaurant called me back right away and was able to accommodate us. The server was super knowledgeable about the menu items, made great suggestions and everything we ate was 10/10. Our table was very well tended to and at the end when we got dessert they added a birthday candle to my husband’s dessert without me needing to remind them that it was his birthday. Very professional staff and food that exceeded expectations. Everything we ate we would order again. We definitely enjoyed this restaurant more than some of the other “nicer” restaurants in town like the Library or Cure. If you’re looking for a romantic, fine dining experience with excellent food- this should be your choice.

Had Valentines Dinner with some friends, who were first timers. Massimo's has been our go to restaurant in the Seacoast area for some time, specifically for special occasions and dates. Always leave impressed and well-fed. Service was exceptional and attentive.

We suggest the meatballs and pork belly apps, as well as the filet mignon entree!

Sat at the bar: lovely, warm atmosphere, Bartender Peter, was a consummate professional. Salmon slightly over cooked but delicious. Drinks were perfect. Highly recommended for a nice night out.

A great dining experience. The atmosphere was very elegant with polite fast service. The good was fantastic as we tried an app, 2 pastas, a haddock, several drinks, dessert and cappuccino. No complaints just sad we haven't been sooner. Additional we went on our anniversary and they also catered to that with special seating and personal touches in the desserts.

Bar staff (Lilly and Peter) super friendly and welcoming, and wait staff (John) amazing. Excellent experience as always. The special birthday dessert cannoli with accompanying candle was a very sweet gesture.

We stay overnight in Portsmouth every January as a tradition and decided to try Massimo for our dinner with friends this year. What a wonderful, classy restaurant! It's no wonder they've been around as long as they have. Food was delicious, can certainly tell everything is made fresh!! The pasta made in house was perfect and service was above and beyond! We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in to the time we left after chatting with staff at the end of the night.

The meal was top notch and our server, Savannah, was outstanding. Her knowledge of the menu and wine pairing provided for a truly enjoyable experience.

Loved everything! From cocktails, to apps, meals and dessert. Such a cute authentic spot as well. Definitely returning!
