Place is a cozy mom and pop shop. Got a BBQ chicken sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. You can hang out there if you want and eat but it was during lunch time and most of the people just got their food and left to go back to work before their meal break was over. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing it full with a bunch of people in there. Maybe put some TVs in there.

Atmosphere gets a 3 because let's face it's a gas station.I'm from Oregon and am soooooo glad this place was recommended to me. (Don't know if I would've ever tried it otherwise).The lady's working today were phenomenal! I could tell they really cared about the quality and presentation of their sandwiches. Except for my mom making me one at home I don't think I've had a sandwich made with more love (mom doesn't have the hot oil)

Good spot if you don't want to spend $30 on lunch. Sandwiches are fresh, tasty and reasonably priced.

I have been going to Moe's downtown Portsmouth since I was a kid. I'm now 66 years old. Love their sandwiches. Unfortunately this one on Woodbury Ave is not up to par as the downtown original Moe's location. Usually only one person working and most of the time over stressed doing everything themselves as well as waiting on the public. I ordered an original half Moe's asking for extra special oil and lite on the pickles. I got just ONE small slice of pickle and the whole sandwich was swimming in oil. Even the outside was Coated! Some resentment or anger issues maybe??? LOL For almost $8.00 for a half sub is super expensive for not getting it as you asked. I will be going to Jersey Mike's near by from now in if I can't get to Moe's downtown.

Atmosphere gets a lower rating for being your typical gas station affair, but the sandwiches are 100% worth it! The staff are always so friendly, service is prompt, and the food never fails to be delicious! Definitely worth the visit if you need a quick bite to eat that won't take a chunk out of your wallet.
the smallest portion of chicken salad i’ve seen in my 37 years. and this was after the lady gave me an extra drop when i commented on it. i have been to another moe’s in raymond, and the experience was much better there

Thos location is mediocre. The price for what you get, way to over rated. Market basket at the Ridge in Rochester is better bang for the buck.
