After not visiting Portsmouth and The Gaslight for 15 years we made a reservation two weeks ago and dined last night. When we arrived the restaurant was very busy. The hostess gave us the table directly in front of the entrance—one of the worst tables. Pretty disappointing for having a reservation for two weeks. For the past five years anytime my family is in the New England area we always make a stop at Gaslight. There are some really good food options here and our servers are always very friendly! My go to’s are the gaslight tenders or the caesar wrap!

Wow. Some of the best food I’ve had and I’ve been to 46 out of the 50 states.
The scallops were buttery and the risotto just perfect! Our server was super attentive and kind. They were able to sit a big group on a Saturday night right as we walked in. Everybody at the table liked their food as well. Food didn’t take that long either. My allergies were handled well.
Worth every penny.
