The ONLY bar in fN Portsmouth I found genuinely kind bar tenders. (Period)

I love this place so much! The food is phenomenal, good portions, all tasty. The wines are incredible. The sommelier Justin is wonderful in knowledge of the wines and also for good company. The staff and waitresses are just as generous in suggesting what is good / what goes with what and refreshing your dinnerware throughout the meal. Great view of the bridge to Elliot/Kittery, somewhat of the park and the water. Highly recommend for a high end experience.

We're local, and have The Raleigh in our top restaurants in town. It's a special night when we go there. Service is great, and the food is even better.

A couple of well crafted wine flights. Daily fresh menu. Pasta dishes with homemade noodles, but portions are small and the truffle tagliatelle wasn't very flavorful. Highly recommend the crab toast, if they have it.

The food is fresh, thoughtful, and creative. The cocktail list is super and well done. The wine list is the best I’ve seen in Portsmouth. Several wines you’d never find by the glass: orange wines, Slovenian wines, NEW JERSEY. The staff is super knowledgeable and professional too. Can’t recommend enough.

Love this place. Don't miss the Hen Egg. Also, don't plan to share it if you want to stay friends. Interesting (in the good way) cocktails and wines, and the food is great!

Enjoyed normal table service and two ticketed wine events. Food is always good with diverse wine selection.

So so good! My mother and I had a very good experience for dinner, the vibe was very casual yet elevated, and the service was incredible. We ended up having a couple of small plates and each a main course. I recommend the pouched hen egg for a starter and the cheese board for sharing pared with recommended wine. We didn’t have any wine but the cocktails were delicious and nothing like I’ve ever tried! Creative menu, and the dessert was amazing. Definitely going to come back to try their brunch.
Fantastic food and super friendly staff. Would highly recommend. We went for Easter brunch and was not disappointed at all.

Finally made our way in for brunch and were, unsurprisingly, pleased! Bloodys were spicy and flavorful, eggs were cooked to perfection, menu was to die for.
The poached hen egg is truly one of the best things you’ll put in your mouth in this town. The food at Raleigh is exceptionally good. Small menu delivers on everything - fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. I’m not much of a wine person, but can vouch for the cocktails which are excellent. The ambiance is casual yet elevated. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.Honestly not sure why this place isn’t packed every single night. Then again, I’m glad it’s not…

I really enjoyed this place. The service is great. And so is the food. The only reason why I put four out of five is because the menu is pretty small and limited. However, I do believe that the menu changes frequently throughout the year so I would go back.
We looked forward to dining at Raleigh Wine Bar for weeks. We had only been there once before, and loved the food and experience. We thought, what a great place to spend New Year's Eve.We were thoroughly disappointed. For a $340 Prix Fixe dinner, we expected to feel welcomed. We would have loved to understand why the chef chose the dishes that night, would have loved to understand the wine pairings from the sommelier. We would have liked a hello from the owner. Showing us that you wanted us there would have gone a long way. Instead, we were isolated in a silent side dining room, creating awkwardness among all the diners.Fine dining isn't only about the food -- good, expensive food is easy to find. The welcoming feeling that accompanies a fine dining experience is as important, and does not take much to create. We are truly sorry that for us, Raleigh Wine Bar will not be the special place we wanted it to be.
