I signed my wife and I up for a tea mixing class at Société last week. I'm not a tea drinker, but my wife absolutely loves tea. Since it was her 30th birthday, I wanted to do something special and different, which is exactly what this class was! Typically scheduled for an hour and a half, our teacher (and owner of the shop) was very thorough and engaging, which extended the program to about 2 hours. We tried 5 or so different teas of a variety of styles ranging from a cleanse, Chai, holiday special, and a black tea for some caffeine. Like I mentioned at the start, I don't drink tea...since that class, I've had 3 cups, and shared our learnings with family and friends (who also have fallen in love with the Chai we brought home). In addition to the tastings, everyone that attends the class is given a free jar of any tea they would like. When I told my wife a few days ago that I let my dad try the teas we brought home, she was (jokingly) angry that it meant she would have 1 less cup worth of tea now. Even if you don't sign up for the class, Société is a must visit for any tea drinker!!

Went to Société today and purchased some tea for my digestive tract. Absolutely the best tea, I have ever tasted. And I just went there on 11/11/23 and bought some snooze and I had the most peaceful sleep. One of the best herbal places, I have found.

This is definitely a must see place if you’re visiting Portsmouth! My boyfriend and I went for the tea brewing activity and it was so much fun. She is so personable and incredibly knowledgeable. I knew a few things about different teas and herbs, but left feeling like an expert! You also get to try a lot of different teas during the session, which left me walking away with a few new favorites!

A must do when in Portsmouth! The best experience ever! Jalese was lovely, informative and experienced in teaching us about herbs and their healing properties. The blending session was truly one of a kind experience- setting was serene and peaceful. The tea blends we each made were perfect for what we needed- sleep, calm, inflammation. We will go back when we return and order online from the store. We cannot recommend this more!!! Fantastic!! And of course Zara the pup was an extra treat.
