The smoothie was great and the service was good. It's a very hipster place in a fancy plaza. If that's what you're expecting it's great.

The first time I came here was the morning of my wedding! I am thankful to have had a wonderful meal here on that morning. I’ve been a couple times since then and really have enjoyed the food and the service. I get a salad with various toppings. No seed oils in dressings! All ingredients seemed very fresh and the entire establishment has been meticulously clean each time I’ve visited(you would not believe how many other restaurants and cafes out there smell dirty as soon as you walk in, which causes me to turn around and walk out.)Delicious juices also. I hope this place keeps their good, fresh ingredients, clean store and good practices. And their friendly service! ✨

I hate to say it but I've had better smoothies. A little bland but maybe just not for me. It's like blended bird food with flavoring. I dunno maybe I'm not cut out for the healthy lifestyle.

Absolutely love this place! Healthiest food in the Portsmouth area, plus they are so fast! I almost always get the harvest bowl which is amazing… Large, and tastes great. They have seating, but I usually just grab and go. Highly recommend!

Paid way too much for a juice cleanse only to have a large handful of the juices have stickers floating in them from the fruit. I’m not sure it’s organic anymore if these stickers remain, even if the sticker still partially says “organic” ?

I used to love Fresh Press when it was located on Fleet Street. I was a regular there, and I absolutely loved their oats for breakfast, bowls and salads for lunch, and juices and healthy warm drinks at any time of day. The ingredients were of superb quality. I am really bummed that the food quality has declined so drastically since the Fresh Press relocated to @ The Green. I passed through Portsmouth today and decided to eat at FP because of how much I used to love the food. We ordered a burrito bowl and an avocado salad. The burrito bowl was made with white rice, which is a change from the old location’s brown rice, and not-so-fresh looking ingredients. My boyfriend ate some of his bowl, but didn’t finish because it was not pleasant. None of the ingredients were fresh or tasty. The avocado salad’s lettuce was not fresh either. It was a yellowish-brown color. I took a couple of bites but it just didn’t taste right, from the dressing to the vegetables. I had asked to add chicken, but there was no chicken on my salad so I asked for it on the side. I was handed a cup of chicken sitting in a pool of oil. (See photo.) It smelled and tasted foul. We left quietly and tossed our food. It is now about a half hour later and we feel nauseated from the few bites of our food that we had. I really, really hope that this review serves as a wake-up call to the owner and/or management at Fresh Press. If not, I hope to at least caution future customers regarding the food quality. On a side note, I have never left a negative Google review in my life. This felt necessary, though. Also, the young girls working there were very friendly and the cafe was clean, so this is not a complaint about the service or the atmosphere.

I am so disappointed in what I thought was a great establishment. I recently went in and ordered a smoothie and cobb salad. I informed the server that I needed to switch out the cashew milk for oat milk due to an allergy. However, I didn't ask about the nuts in the Cobb salad because it's a COBB SALAD, and had no indication that it included nuts nor was I told. I have had this allergy for most of my life and do my best to stick to safe items. I got home, took two bites of my salad, and my anaphylaxis symptoms began immediately. I knew there HAD to be nuts in the salad. I spent the entire afternoon in the ER. The next day I called Fresh Press and told them what had happened. The condescending manager told me that perhaps a nut had fallen into the salad and that they couldn't guarantee there wasn't cross-contamination. Again, I have had this allergy for a long time and know cross-contamination is a risk everywhere I go, but this reaction wasn't just cross-contamination. She also said nothing came through yesterday stating a customer had an allergy, which wasn't the case. I asked her if she knew if the dressing had nuts and she said she had to check the ingredients. Meanwhile, she kept reiterating that it could be because the nuts were next to other ingredients. She then tells me that the dressing is made of CASHEW BASE. I told her that something so unlikely to include nuts, such as ranch dressing should CLEARLY be labeled as containing nuts. The last thing I want is for this to happen to someone else because not everyone may be as lucky as me. I then asked to speak to the owner. She wrote down my name and number and said he would call me later. I NEVER received a call from him. I am honestly so enraged by the manager's response and the negligence of Fresh Press. A compassionate response would have been the LEAST they could have provided me. Instead, they tried very hard to cover their ass and blame me. If you're going to market yourself as allergy friendly and health conscious then BE ALLERGY FRIENDLY AND HEALTH CONSCIOUS FOR EVERYONE. I encourage owner Aaron Smith and his manager to educate themselves on Rachel's Law. Rachel was a UNH student in the area who died from a restaurant being unaware and not labeling a dish unlikely to have nuts in it. These are people's lives we are talking about. I leave this review as a cautionary tale and to encourage Fresh Press to put their money where their mouth is and stop hiding behind cheap hypocritical marketing. This isn't the first time this has happened and it doesn't seem like it will be the last. There is another review from 9 months ago describing a similar situation with the SAME SALAD. Please be cautious when ordering from this restaurant and make sure they CHECK the ingredients.

I love this place! Firstly, I appreciate that the food is Organic. It is hard to find places to eat that serve Organic food! They serve a wide variety of very delicious smoothies, brunch foods, fresh pressed juices, snacks, and some sandwiches. I love that they default to gluten free bread too! My only suggestion would be to add just a little more to the chicken salad sandwich- I loved it but it needed some pickles or some extra lettuce to add the crunch factor. The atmosphere in here is such a nice vibe- there are real plants everywhere, a trendy modern wooden style to the decor and furniture, and it feels so bright and roomy! The bathroom was super clean and even had a little plant cutting on the sink. The restuarant feels interactive as well. There's a nice photography wall, a cool moss mural, and lots of little things to look at and take pictures of.And lastly, the customer service has always been excellent. I love to come and grab my favorite: Avo and egg toast with pesto drizzle and everything bagel seasoning, paired with whatever smoothie I'm feeling!
