Great breakfast/lunch diner...Joe if your listening...I bet this place would be great for late night breakfast dinning on Weekends. It is understandable for restaurants were to shy away from the late night intoxicated crowds it would draw, not to mention overcoming staffing issues. It just seem like Portsmouth has no late night options other than Gilly's and the Canolli place on Congress St, and neither offer sitdown service

Very disappointing. The food was incredibly bland. The “sautéed shrimp” eggs Benedict was definitely not sautéed, but just heated up small frozen shrimp, slathered in a fake-lemon tasting Cisco packaged hollandaise sauce, served over cheap English muffins. The side of bacon was 2 1/2 small pieces of rubbery bacon. The omlet was very strange. The eggs were almost fake looking, they looked like a picture from dennys menu, and had a terrible “Pam” taste. We cannot get the taste of this food out of our mouths. Both of us couldn’t wait to get home to brush our teeth, as well as wash our clothes because they are now infused with the smell of this place. We were really looking forward to going out to breakfast, but this meal was a disappointing waste of consumed calories. Coffee was like drinking warm brown water. Plus the prices are outrageous, we spent $50+$10 tip for terrible breakfast. Definitely not the old Golden Egg. It should be noted that most of the reviews on here are for the OLD Golden Egg. This is a different restaurant that just happens to have the same name. Service was very friendly.

I was sceptical of coming to a modern building but was pleasantly surprised. The food and smiling wait staff was spot on. Sitting in the booth was comfy and the acoustics were such that conversations were relaxed without having to talk over others. The coffee scored big points too. Highly recommended. Oh very reasonable prices taboot!

Because we were a party of 6 and they only have one table for a “large” group we had to wait over one hour to be seated. Then after ordering we had to wait another hour for our food! People who came into the restaurant one half hour after us were eating and leaving before we even got our food. The orders were coming out according to size of the order not according to who ordered first! We were there over 2 hours and the food was average.

It's back .. your favorite breakfast joint in Portsmouth. New location on Mirona Road but the new owners managed to bring some of the wonderful wait staff from the previous location on Sagamore road. **Don't skip the Red flannel hash Benedict if it's on special!

Had brunch for the first time on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 and loved our meal! The homemade baked beans and split pea soup were amazing! We also tried the turkey rueben sandwich and the chicken caprese sandwich...both were excellent! Jade our server was outstanding...never missing a beat and keeping our coffee cup filled! Great experience...we will be back!Parking: Plenty of space to park!
