The food, service and ambience at Puddle Dock was good. However the cost of the meal was definitely on the highest level. My feeling is that the quality of the food did not meet the price of the food. If I am paying top dollar than I want top dollar on all fronts, I don't feel Puddle Dock provided that back to me.
Another terrific dining experrience at Puddle Dock, one of our favorite restaurants in Portsmouth. Service was quick, attentive and good natured. Food was the usual first rate expereince. We like the the menue is full of unusual items. I began with the Straberry Banke Harvest Toast, a small but exceptional combination of roasted asparagus (grown thin and cut into bites), sweet roasted garlic,creamy goat cheese, and a cured egg yolk (my first) drizzled with honey. Visually well...
The Puddle Dock is a MUST experience. WOW! The food was 5 stars and we will be going back as soon as we are in Portsmouth again. Compliments to the chef(s) and the entire staff. Tip - don't skip dessert.
