Always a pleasure to have the opportunity to eat at the Puddle Dock. The food is fantastic and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and a great atmosphere. It's the perfect date night place or gathering spot for friends and family!
My duck was delicious, but my partner had the Colonial Cottage Pie and ended up extremely ill overnight. We had excellent service, and the Portsmouth chowder was amazing. I doubt I'll get him to go back because of the reaction he had immediately following dinner. Everything else was good.
Puddle Dock is located in an historic building near the Strawbery Banke Museum. It has a varied menu, which we appreciated after so much fish and seafood. We were seated by the toasty fireplace - perfect for a chilly evening. Our meal started with bread and butter and a refreshing pear, blue cheese salad made with interesting greens.
