Great atmosphere, food selection was wonderful and service top notch. Food prices were good considering Portsmouth typically has high priced menus. Will be back!
I was all excited for lasagna. It looked like a child’s portion 1 inch thick and maybe 4 in.² and mushy my brother and his friend Joe got the chicken parm which had a huge stack of spaghetti and a nice piece of chicken. They felt bad for me so they gave me a slice each of their chicken parm I should’ve complained while I was there, but I didn’t want to embarrass the party I was with also the lasagna and the chicken parm were similar in price
Went here last night with family and it did not disappoint. Amazing food, our server was great in recommendig a drink to me, and prices were fair. Absolutely planning on coming back again!
Great dinner spot!
I have been here on numerous occasions and continue to have great experiences here. The food is delicious and the staff is attentive and quite nice. The garlic bread they drop off at your table is also 12/10 top notch.
Very clean and organized as usual. Ordered chicken parm. Not impressed.

My husband and I just enjoyed a great Italian dinner here! Homemade pasta and salads are included!
Warm and cozy on a blustery evening!
I had the best carbonara and my husbands Marsala was the best he’s had!
Prices are great and we’ll return!
Grabbed a meal to go for our sick son at home and he loved his chicken Parm!

The Rosa saved our NYE! We had no reservations anywhere and they were able to fit us in. Great service and the food was awesome. Apps, dinner, drinks, everything was fantastic. The waitstaff were all extremely friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all on one of the busiest nights of the year! Pastas are amazing and huge portions. All the best in 2025, you folks rocked!

First time visitor. Was pleased that they were able to seat us without a reservation on a busy holiday week afternoon. Everyone was very nice and we were seated in the area of low top tables to the side with a view of the kitchen. Very nice interior. Our server was lovely, attentive and checked in on us several times. The food was good; I'd give it a solid B+. The salad was fresh and the white anchovies were a nice touch, the dressing was ok; a bit bland. Nice fresh baked bread with dipping oil. The arancini was very good and the sauce was pretty good. The chicken parm was a bit disappointing. It was just a few minutes north of overcooked and then I think maybe the guy left it under the broiler a bit too long so the cheese was burnt in spots and the chicken was pretty dry. The pasta was well cooked. Personal preference, didn't like the spicy meatball pizza which was a bit too hot for me but the crust was good and had a nice chew.
The heat of the pizza is ironic as my general over all impression of the food was everything seemed a bit under seasoned and under salted.
As mentioned we were seated with a view of the kitchen which my chef wife usually enjoys and the kitchen appeared clean and organized. But, unfortunately a couple of the guys must not have been paying attention to their serve safe training that day. One particular guy was eating while working on the line. Not just grabbing a taste of something but full out shoveling mouthfuls of his plate while working the line. He also (along with another guy) were not wearing hats or beard protectors. To make this worse one of the guys was admiring his colleague's haircut and was rubbing his freshly shorn head, then went back to working the line; no handwash, no gloves. This same guy a few moments later gave his own head a good 2-handed scratch and shake, again going right back to food prep. Gross, and really needs to be addressed. So, in summary, nice restaurant, great atmosphere, good food and nice front staff but someone really needs to talk to that guy.

How does an Italian restaurant not have a single vegetarian entrée? This place is ridiculous.

Our large family with children visited Rosa’s restaurant Saturday with reservations. Unfortunately they seated us within the bar area on bar stools not in the dining area. We were disappointed with the seating for the amount we paid to hold the reservations with a deposit. It was very noisy and congested. All in all, we were very disappointed with the entire experience and would not recommend this restaurant for families. BP
This was one of the worst meals I have ever had, so much so, that I didn't finish my food. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The dressing on the salad was awful, similar to canned tuna water (I wish I was exaggerating). Additionally, the grilled chicken was cold and raw in some parts. My food had to be sent back. We also ordered the garlic bread with marinara and I wouldn't recommend that either. I am willing to bet money that they used a canned tomato base. Our waitress was kind, but unprofessional. She came to check on us while chewing/swallowing food. It felt like there was a lot of employees and not a lot of guests. There wasn't a seriousness or level of professional that you would expect from a fine Italian restaurant. The manager was wearing a flannel shirt and sneakers, which seemed odd for the atmosphere. I honestly am surprised about all the raving reviews, maybe salad and chicken just aren't their strong suits.
