Crystal makes the best Bloody Mary ever and has a great attitude and personality. We split the cheesesteak sandwich and it was perfect. Loved the onion rings too. Thanks for the perfect lunch break.
I wasn’t expecting much because it’s a local tavern. Sat down at bar by myself. Bartender (long light brown hair) didn’t approach me for about 15min, when she did show up, I told her I was going to order food. She said she didn’t have any more menus, she’d have to go look.
I sat there and waited, during which time I looked the menu up online. When she was walking down my side of the bar, 20min later, I just called her over and said I’d like to order some food...

We absolutely love The Shanty! Highly recommend - The food is delicious! We accidentally ordered online and showed up at the rollinsford location to pick it up only to realize we had ordered it in Portsmouth. 12/10 for customer service - they let us cancel and refunded us. Hate to do that but didn’t have time to drive to Portsmouth to pick up after already going to Rollinsford! Will continue to dine here + get takeout here (just will pay attention which location we are ordering...
