It’s nearly two in the morning as I write this review, because all my ADHD brain can think about is the cornbread from Vida Cantina. My Midwest thighs crave that sweet, sweet delicious treat. There’s a reason this chef has many accolades… you won’t be disappointed in any of the taco choices either. Trust. I tried them all.

Very busy Saturday night so we had a half hour to wait for a table, but we sat at the bar while we waited which was fine. The food is some of the best on the Seacoast which is why Vida Cantina is so busy. Good service too

My husband and I stopped here for dinner last night after checking the area for restaurants that were featured on DDD, expecting a unique dining experience. Vida was along our route, so we decided to stop in. We arrived at the restaurant around 7:15p and waited about 25 minutes for a table before being seated near the bar. The restaurant was a bit loud with patrons, but we were still able to talk with ease. I ordered the Apple Cider Margarita and my husband ordered the margarita flight. While the Apple Cider Margarita was a seasonal delight, the margarita flight was tasteless.

The service was lacking, with quite a bit of waiting in between ordering drinks and ordering food. We ordered the salsa flight and really enjoyed each flavor! A gentleman came through to check on us with the long wait and brought us a refill of chips and salsa. We ordered an assortment of tacos including the Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Pork Belly. Each of the tacos were flavorful and we really enjoyed the spicy kick with the Pork Belly. The wait for the food was long, even when the restaurant quieted down, and it was barely warm when it arrived.

It appears our experience was very similar to another recent review from JJ. Hopefully, it was just an off night, but we would pass on a second visit and try a new restaurant if we were in the area again.

Positives- tacos were tasty. Chips and salsa flight was awesome. My apple cider marg was delicious.
Negatives- poor service. Started off busy, but eventually died down and even when it wasn’t busy the waiter was not attentive. Had to flag the waiter down just to get another drink and get some more water after waiting for what felt like a really long time.I’d give the service a C-. The margarita flight wasn’t good. The Margs had little flavor to them. Ordered the cornbread and it never came until the very end when we were already done our meal. $10 for a very tiny piece of cornbread I could have eaten in 2 bites. Would not go back there again.

I had my doubts walking in, more of a hipster vibe than a traditional Mexican restaurant, and fairly expensive. However, I have to admit the food was excellent and well worth the cost. The service was extremely efficient and fast. Highly recommend for high quality Mexican food.

A big step above the street tacos I usually crave, this place serves refined Mexican food with incredible flavor and attention to detail. I try to order something new every time and I’m always satisfied.

No hostess when we arrived. Stood at the front for about 5-10min until a server took us. Bartender just looked at us awkwardly as others just ignored the growing line at the door.

Food was phenomenal.

Carnitas Enchiladas in a mole sauce was great. Dark, rich, and surprisingly slight sweet.

Over rated! Overpriced! Have spoken to the employees and more than less spoke of the owners hidden Pomposity/Arrogance! Plenty of other Restaurants on the Seacoast that are More Tasty! Better Priced! Better Atmosphere! More Talented! And the staff speak Better of the owners!

Came here for a quick lunch. I was really hoping for something special as a first time diner. Unfortunately, the food fell completely flat — no flavor, no spice, and definitely none of the authentic elements I expect from good Mexican cuisine.

Other than the food, the decor was charming. It was modern Spanish style. The service was above average, very attentive.

Overall, the atmosphere had promise, but the food just didn’t deliver.

The food and service were great. We sat outside with a great waiter attending our party of 6.
