We don't go as often we would like because the wait time can be quite long at times and I only go to a restaurant when I'm hungry, but it is my favorite place to eat. Great food, large portions, and friendly competent staff. The only problem is there are too many good things on the menu! The butchery also has a nice selection at decent prices.

Best restaurant around , get there early no reservations. Great sides ,best beef options and quality around ! Awesome choices no matter what your in mood for ! Friendly efficient staff ! Try to hit the butcher shop at least once a month top notch!

Service was great and engaging. I ordered the steak tips because they’re award winning, but felt like they needed salt, and simply weren’t that flavorful. Granted, they were tender, but were rather mediocre to me. Servings and cost are competitive, but as someone who’s heard residents from outside of NH praising this place—I was quite disappointed.

Steak tips were phenomenal. Arrived well packaged, and shipped to CT just two days after order. Definitely will be ordering again and trying their other marinades!

Went to eat and called 1st. Told no reservations but since it was a Sat and we had to be someplace at 1 we decided to go early look at the meat market and be there at 11 when they opened. Got there around 10:15 went in and started looking at all the offerings. Around 10:40 I saw a line at the restaurant desk and walked over just in time to hear it would be an hour to an hour and a 1/2 wait after they opened at 11. Needless to say I wait no where for that long we finished doing and left. On the plus side the hamburger was fine of the best I have bought while the chicken garlic cheese sausages were ok. BUT.... Didn't realize they were chicken and the wife slightly overcooked them so they were a shade dry. I enjoyed the taste wife not so much. The pork was the star... Juicy and tender roasted with apples it made a delicious meal

Local to New Hampshire, but live about 20 minutes away from this restaurant I don’t recommend Saw this restaurant advertised on the local television station. We’re traveling back from an antique shop in Maine and decided to try this place out. Got to the restaurant around 3 PM were seated right away the seating that we were in only had three tables and it was quite busy as it was in the walking area to and from the back seating and the butcher so there’s a lot of traffic in that seating area It was quite noisy in the back seating area as it carried over to the front We were made aware of the specials and today was buy one get one lobster rolls. I was excited to hear about that because I’m a super fan of seafood and lobster included so of course I went with the $25 portion without the bread because I didn’t want the bread. As for the flavor and taste of the lobster, I was not a fan of it. It was very dry rubbery it seemed to be soaked in some sort of an oil or something that didn’t compliment it at all as for the portion size that was good you can tell by the photos I took that it looks like it came from the bottom of the barrel I will not go back for buy one get one lobster roll I don’t believe this is fresh lobster this seems frozen not good at all My husband‘s burger, he enjoyed the chicken portion of the burger, but the actual burger itself was burnt on both sides, making it very tough and dry to eat When the plate arrived, it looked a little un appetizing. It had two slices of pickle crossed over and then the burger. I think the plate that they used could be changed maybe use a wood block as it is a butcher shop as well. All of the staff were dressed appropriately. You could tell that they worked there. Our server waitress was very friendly very attentive to our needs. The place was very clean. Our total bill came to $63 and we left a $20 tip which I didn’t find to be unreasonably priced for the amount of food we got but again as for flavoring of the food I was not a fan I won’t return

My wife and I popped in with another couple for a late lunch and despite the 20 minute wait (which is typical), we had a fantastic time. Food was amazing (as always) but our waiter, Justin, made the experience even better. He was very attentive, conversant and personable. He offered up some honest recommendations which turned out to be awesome! We never felt rushed or pressured to pay in order to turn the table. Justin certainly knows his job and excels at it. We will be asking for his section the next time we visit.

This was probably the 5th time I ordered meat to be shipped from Tuckaway Tavern. Every time, it showed up on time and was so well packed. The best part of course, was that the receivers LOVED the meats!! I will continue to shop locally, and send to my meat loving peeps!!! Kudos to the staff!!

We usually just get food from the butchery side to make at home but felt like going out last night. We always have a wonderful dining experience, food is always delicious, service is always good, but Oceana, our server last night, was exceptional. So positive, so sweet. She helped make a very special night for us and I just wanted to say thanks!
