I know the food is really good and the peppers platter is the best meal for the price it fed me for 2 days. The employees are very nice but a little pushy to get you out , had a hard time to enjoy and relax. That's the only downside.other than that we loved the food.Parking: Lots of places to park.

Great place to grab a bite. It’s family friendly and the service in my experience has always been good. The “champ” lager is legit one of my favorite beers- and it pairs great with the food. I love the blackened tacos and the scallop pasta w the burnt ends in it. The kids love the boat kids meals and looking at the lobsters. One very nice waiter who is there a lot even pulled one out so they could touch it very nice. Also kids eat free on Wednesday which is awesome for families. Overall a great spot in Rochester well worth checking out!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly/ good menu and atmosphere for kids and they get to pick a toy from a treasure chest

We had oysters to start, that were very fresh and presented very nicely. We ordered a clam chowder that was hot, tasty and loaded with clams and potatoes. I had a lobster roll that was only dressed with butter ( my choice not a fan of mayonnaise which they did offer) I was a little disappointed not with the lobster, wish it had more, my spouse had a haddock boat which was a generous piece, not over breaded which we both liked. The service was amazing, cudos to the waite staff . We will return. The menu is varied & they do offer other items that are not fish based. The restaurant is very clean, and you are not sitting too close to other diners.

There is a reason the restaurant was more than half empty at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. The bartender/server took our order. We ordered a come, a house margarita, a cup of chowder, fried calamari and two lunch baskets. One haddock & one scallop. After taking only two sips of the margarita I had to reach for the Tums because of the excessive lime juice. Absolutely TERRIBLE. I wanted to tell our server about it but he didn’t come back for a while. The manager came over because she saw is talking with another couple who were getting similarly bad service a day I explained it had been 15 min since I asked for a cup of chowder. We put our food order in. She went to check on things because our server Inan was M.I.A. still. This is when I saw a large, tall man reach into the pickup window and take something off a plate and put it into his mouth as he went into the kitchen. Then the calamari came out and as soon as I out one bite into my mouth my brain said “spit this out now!” There was a flavor of almost like a chemical or something. Like almost an ammonia smell/taste. It may have been the marinara but both smelled/tasted just wrong. So we told the server about it and O apologized for complaining. His response? “I don’t care, I mean I didn’t make it right?” So I responded, “yeah, its not like YOU care.” This went way over his over moussed hairstyle. A few more minutes later (40 min into our visit) the manager came out with our baskets. You could tell this is a person that cares, but also someone who doesn’t have the manager’s presence to get her people in line and run a tight ship. Super nice, super receptive though. As she left I cut open a couple scallops and sure enough they were completely raw/clear almost right up to where the edge meets the batter. So my wife didn’t want to chance trying her haddock. Which other than being a bit over cooked, (dark brown, which means over cooled or dirty oil) wasn’t looking too bad. The fries looked ok, but they put the fried food on too of them so they were soggy. Basically its a cook problem I think. I worked at the Weathervane in Concord NH for 5 years and worked my way up to a Red Shirt. This isn’t flash frozen patty here guys. You got to take care with seafood or you’ll get someone sick! Not to mention, the customer is paying a premium price for it. But, if they have employees eating off customers plates from the pick up window, I swear to God, they have much bigger problems. Again, over half empty at peak dinner hour on a Saturday-night. Will never go back.

With the live music with the building with a bare concrete floor, this place was not conducive for conversation.

Our first time here with a Christmas vibe on our minds for the 6 of us. Being from the Seacoast our expectations were what a local would expect them to be. Food is a 3 based on half of the steamed clams were not opened and those that were we tried and they were gritty with sand. Bummer I love steamers. The fried food was okay, just didn't taste quite right. Steamed muscles were very good, kudos for those!Service was very slow. We were there from 4 until 7 pm for the atmosphere and non full restaurant one would have thought we would have been asked how our meal was.The atmosphere was fine, open, a little dark, but as someone said not too loud where you couldn't hear each other.Undetermined if we'll be back.
