I've been in the restaurant industry forever. This place is a hidden gem! Disguised as a taproom and grill, this is the best fine dining I've had in awhile (minus the dress codeand stuffy ambience). We tried everything. The shrimp and pork belly fried rice, the dragon dumplings, the chicken wings, everything was ridiculous...the pizza was unreal and we just had cheese! The fish was amazing. Everything is quality. I could not believe this menu or our food. You must go! The prices were so reasonable. Regretting not taking a single picture. I think I was so wowed by the the history of the chef and the whole experience, that I forgot I had a cell phone w a camera! I live 2 hours away and will be back!

The butternut squash bisque was chicken stock. I don't know if they ran out of squash or if someone didn't stir the soup before ladeling it in. I was incredibly disappointed.

Revolution is my favorite restaurant in town. A few weeks ago, I ordered the steak (which was divine), but the steak was rare instead of medium rare. I asked the server if they could throw the steak back on for a couple minutes, and I was brought a whole new plate and offered a complimentary dessert. The food and service are top tier!

I want to first say that our server and the manager were awesome sweethearts when I sent back my salmon protein salad. The salad had tiny bits of flaked canned looking salmon and a teaspoon of quinoa in a bowl of lettuce. Horrible portions. Not a protein salad ! This $24.00 salad should have had a grilled piece of salmon on it and decent cup of quinoa. The manager replaced it with a blackened shrimp Cobb salad which was good. This is directed to you the owner to offer your customers quality food in decent size portion for the price u are asking.

Circumstances took me to NH this week.
A great meal at this restaurant while exploring New England. We must not forget what America was founded on, what it means. Freedom.
Women, our rights are being trampled on. Vote and be heard.

Any chance I have to go to Revolution, I take it! The best thing to ever happen in Rochester. They catered our wedding and are all around incredible - locally sourced produce and meats. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. There are pool tables upstairs and outdoor seating.

Don’t pass up an opportunity to check this place out!

Our favorite place for date night. Food is great and the changing menu options are always fun. Atmosphere is so nice, and we’re always so well taken care of, my lovely man decided to stage all our friends around the back room on what I thought was just a date night (and hadn’t noticed any of our friends somehow), and popped the question. Totally said yes, and not just because The Rev is the best 🤣

amazing food here, great service, chef was very accommodating to an allergy in my party, one of the best restaurants you can visit in Rochester; just amazing diversity for the drinks and food menus; Definitely try the crème brûlée of the day!! Today was maple burbon, just chefs kiss 💋! only small thing is that some people were screaming next to us but you can't control that obviously 🤷‍♀️ also very visually appealing for the rest of the restaurant-leaving a nice, new england, retro (as in 1700s) yet modern, fun feel. server was also very very patient and kind- made us feel like we were her #1 priority!

Dietary restrictions: the chef ensured that a person in my party stayed safe and had a good experience

A great place to visit when going "home". Fun surprises on the menu like Korean BBQ Pork Bao.

Please don't touch the waitstaff.

I thought this place would be just average, but boy was I wrong! It was fabulous. The town is full of vacant storefronts but don’t let that fool you. We ate outside on a beautiful afternoon because the interior was a bit noisy. I had the blackened shrimp salad and my spouse had one of the day’s specials schnitzel- schnitzel on top of mashed potatoes with a delicious (& not overly salted) mushroom gravy & rainbow chard on the side. My spouse had coffee, which he said was good, & we shared 4 mini cannoli. I’m a bit of a cannoli snob, so when I say they were spectacular, believe me. Our server was delightful & knowledgeable.

Hosted a bridal shower today at the Rev with the help of Stacey and our amazing waitress Lacy (sp?).
Everyone raved about the delicious food, drinks and canollis and I can't speak highly enough about the service. This event was a bit last minute and we couldn't have done it without the Rev. Thanks everyone!!
