Food used to be good here. I got bacon wrapped scallops and I got violently ill! They were frozen! Horrible experience!

I didn't eat there as it was a separate catered event but the service and outside space were great!

After leaving The Spaulding Restaurant, my partner and I decided to check out The Garage, as we could hear music coming from that direction. The music wasn't particularly great, but we didn't mind. We approached the bar and ordered two beers. However, just as the bartender was about to serve us, a woman approached us and asked if we were there to see the band. We explained that we weren't particularly interested in the band and just wanted to sit outside, enjoy the nice evening, and have a couple of beers. To our surprise, the woman demanded $5 for the band. At that point, I couldn't help but question the logic. I realized that I could simply walk about 50 feet back to the restaurant, get a table outside, order a beer, and not have to pay $5. It seemed unreasonable to charge a cover on a Thursday night for a relatively unknown band. Besides, there were barely a dozen people watching the band. So we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. In my experience, it is typical to charge a cover when bringing in a well-known or highly anticipated band. However, doing so on a weeknight, especially for a band with limited popularity, seems counterproductive. By charging us $5, The Garage lost out on our patronage, and the band had a missed opportunity to gain new fans. It was a lose-lose situation for everyone involved.Furthermore, I must mention the bathroom facilities at The Garage. They consist of portable toilets, which is less than ideal. I recall from my visit last year that the lighting was poor, and the cleanliness of the sink was questionable.Overall, my experience at The Garage was underwhelming. The cover charge for a relatively unknown band on a weeknight seemed unnecessary, and the bathroom facilities were subpar. I hope that the management takes these issues into consideration and makes improvements for future patrons.

I don't know of any other venue quite like this one. They are welcoming and friendly to all. A great place to eat, drink and dance!

A decent bar / restaurant. Friendly staff, good food, and an ok beer selection. Bands on weekends. Try it out. I bet you like it.Kid-friendliness: Please, no kids. This is a place for adults. Not children

Atmosphere was great, but temperature was cold inside. Band rocked! Opened a tab and woke up next morning to two charges totaling over $200. After several phone calls found out one of the charges was a $93 pre-auth hold which overdrafted my account and took 5 days to reverse! Also the bartenders took it upon themselves to give themselves a $17 tip which I never authorized or signed for. Pretty sure that is illegal. I won't be back.
