This used to be our go-to restaurant for seafood and chowder. Yesterday, we ordered 3 bowls of fish chowder, and Lemon Meringue Pie. Every bowl of chowder was totally turned to dust, and the milk they used was sour giving us an instant stomach cramp. The pie was frozen and not fresh. To their credit, they have great service. I will have to think very hard before we return.

My mum loves this place! They are always so kind & play music she knows all the words to, it's very comfortable. Ample parking and easy to access (ADA).It seems like a quintessential locals restaurant; they have an extensive seniors menu that is priced fairly & generously portioned. Also comes with tea/coffee and dessert (mums favorite is the tapioca pudding).The seafood has always been good. They have fried & baked options.... and it's not often that one of the sides offered is pickled beets! This is one of the "old new england" spots that have survived & is doing it the same way they always did; there is a wonderful comfort in that, also (and most importantly), they do it well.Parking: Plenty of off-street parking in a well spaced private lotWheelchair accessibility: All one level, ramps to the doors. There are 2 sets of doors (a spacious foyer), but it's right in front of the hostess stand & they are even to help with doors & they aren't particularly heavy (glass)
Been getting senior meals for years and always been tastefull and value minded ,even on a call in meal .Parking: Usually get there early otherwise good food equals full lot !Wheelchair accessibility: Do have handicap parking and ramp ,but door is tough unless helped .

First off I have had better seafood in maine, but windjammers is spot on. I believe they're a local joint (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and not a chain. Great seafood join, seafood is always pricy but jammers isn't overpriced. For the location and for the price, I'd say 5 stars why not
