The Shanty came highly recommended to us; so we decided last night to finally try it. It was a one and done. We were greeted after several minutes; my lemonade tasted disgusting. I asked for a second one thinking maybe the syrup was running low... it wasn't apparently, just evidently not good tasting lemonade. Not the end of the world. Ordered an app which came out rather quickly and tasted fine. Ordered dinner (I ordered a chicken sandwich, requested ranch on the side, no aioli as I don't like it). Sandwich came out and I asked for a new one since it was smothered in the aioli I had specifically asked to not have. If it was a little, I would have just wiped it off. I learned exactly why you don't send food back. Their idea of fixing my sandwich was just wiping off the aioli, throwing a piece of cheese on and sending it back out. I was disgusted that THIS is how they handle customer service, and I couldn't help but laugh because these are the things you read about. Our waitress, who I do not fault whatsoever, apologized and said it wasn't an acceptable response to my request. She had the "lazy kitchen" make a new sandwich, which was mediocre - I barely even ate it and left it behind. My sandwich was removed from the bill, but the fact they thought "customer service" was treating their customers as if they were stupid and wouldn't have noticed the aioli still clearly on the sandwich was unacceptable. If I was being rude or belligerent, I would have deserved such treatment, but I wasn't. I would not return, I would not recommend. I would also expect far better service from an establishment. So, moral of the story: Don't return your food to their kitchen, their kitchen staff does not care about customers. I also regret not taking a photo of the before/after of the sandwich.

Came here for the first time tonight. Everything was spectacular! The food was AMAZING and the service was great. This place is always busy and now I know why.

We had the mozzarella logs for an appetizer. I'm not usually one for mozzarella sticks, but I can't wait to go back for more. Then came the huge garden salad that we split. He had the Sporky pizza ( garlic sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, sausage and roasted red peppers ) I had the chicken Parm. The portions are big and the food is delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Been there 3 times, I've had the Shepherds Pie, Toasted Italian Sandwich and, the Haddock Sandwich. Each time it was terrific....

Driving from Maine to Vermont, this looked like a great lunch stop. It was! I had the bowl of chili, my husband had fish and chips.

I haven’t ate anything bad here yet and I think I’ve tried everything. My favorite app is probably the Gumbies (Lightly floured strips of boneless chicken breast deep fried) so good paired with gold fever!! French onion soup has amazing flavor. Plenty of tvs to watch any game that’s all. Great atmosphere.

We have tried lots of different food here and only disappointed 1 time.. The hawaiian pizza and gumpies and so good!!! Hunter on the bar is so nice and friendly and the other staff members are nice.

Parking: Plenty of parking but not large spots so driving thru the lot can be tough at times.. If larger trucks park along the sides and out of the center row it would help out

We were there when they were very full. There wasn't a line or wait-list, but they were busy. Both service and delivery were a little slow.
Food was excellent. We got the fried pickles and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. Next time we'll order the fried pickles with the chilli sauce on the side. It isn't bad, just a little sweet.
The mozzarella sticks are better described as mozzarella logs. They are thick and delicious. Served with a hearty helping of marinara.
For mains my son got chicken tenders and fries. Both were very good.
My wife and I got a meet supreme pizza. It looked a little dark when it came out, but was absolutely delicious. Toppings were just a little crispy and excellent. We'll definitely be going back.

Absolutely delicious! I added clam chowder to my meal, and I'm very fussy about it. It came out nice and hot. A great New England clam chowder that I grew up with. Wonderful!
