Have been there several times. All good visits until the last time. Brought my family for ice cream, 7 of us. Part of the seating area was blocked off so we grabbed an extra chair to sit at the end of our booth as seating was limited. We were told that we couldn't use the chair at the end of the table so I stood and ate my ice cream so my family could sit. Then while finishing our ice cream, an hr before close. We were told that the dining room was closed. The man who told us was very abrupt and rude. We politely left and will never be back again.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life, as I was at this location tonight. The young girl at the window couldn't have been more brazenly irritated that I'd asked to see the difference between a small and large cup! I was polite and short, I never gave her any trouble.. yet she took this nasty tone with me, glaring eyes, she slammed the window in my face and again after I paid! I was appalled. If I were manager she would have been fired on the spot. I thought, surely it wasn't because she was so busy.. at 8 o'clock on a Tuesday night in December.. we all have bad days, but I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and have never treated someone like that. I've also had plenty of bad service in the past, sure.. but THIS is the first time I've ever taken time out to write a bad review. I hope the manager will address this. The frap was delicious though!

Our go to place for a great big Ice Cream cone!! My pickup is incapable of going past the place without taking a very sharp turn into their parking lot... LOOOK OUT!!! Maple Walnut and Frozen Pudding Heere We Come!

Ice cream is great. However I’m not sure if they think all handicapped people are in wheelchairs? Handicap parking is in the back with the back door with the ramp locked forcing you to walk around the front. I have a progressive joint disease. All four parking spots are up front. I parked in the back realized I’d have to walk around to the front and just left as walking is painful for me. If the back door was open it would have been fine. Won’t be as I’ll never actually be sure I’ll be able to get in. And if your a wheelchair you’ll have to knock on the door until the open the door with a ramp. I’ll leave this place for the able bodied.
It was great don’t get me wrong but the lady put my spoon on the outside counter it took a long time to get my ice cream too. But the ice cream taste great.

Amazing selection of flavors, both year-round and seasonal. The staff are super friendly and the ice cream is delicious. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Salem.

The wait staff is always friendly! The service is very good! They have a good size selection of different flavors. I just miss the waffle confess they used to make there.

I have lived in Salem for many years and Hawksies never ever disappoints for my Summertime hot fudge sundae! The ice cream excellent and the hot fudge can't be beat. You certainly get what you pay for! It is a struggle to get the cover on. The staff is wonderful as well. Keep up the good work! #1 in my book!
