Holiday Inn Salem (I-93 at Exit 2), an IHG Hotel

Waaaaay overpriced ($350 for 2 nights, and that was with a group discount)
Door to room didn't close properly.
Bathrooms need updating.
Restaurant was so-so.
Location was convenient, which is the most redeeming quality of this motel.
Yes: "motel."

Safety: Room door is supposed to auto-close.
It did not, and kept getting stuck before the door frame.

I have stayed at Salem nh location a few times! I am a pilot captain and stay at many hotels. There was a billing issue that caused an issue with one of my credit cards. The staff and management were quick to resolve the situation and put me at ease. I recommend this location.

Great customer service from concierge Ms. Jordan, breakfast staff to housekeeping . Great room decor and cleanliness. I stayed in many big hotels before. Never, ever considered Holiday Inn.
This location gives, Hilton, Marriott a run for their money.

Weekend for a wedding. Rooms could be cleaner, under beds a mess no vacuuming was done. Bathrooms are small, showers are Very Dangerous. No grab bars in shower, no grips on shower floor. I slipped and almost lost my footing.

Rooms: Could be cleaner.

Safety: Poor - beware of the showers.

And the homemade chocolate chip cookies were out of this world… delicious!!

Elevators did not work for much of our stay.

Walkability: The stairs definitely work since the elevators do not.

We stayed at this hotel for a nearby wedding and did not have a great experience. Upon arrival, our room was not very clean and felt very damp and humid. Our shower temperature was very inconsistent and our bathroom sink was clogged with something and didn't drain (maintenance did fix this swiftly). It felt like there was an upcharge for everything including early check in and breakfast. The elevators were basically unusable - they took a very long time to arrive and one was broken for half of our stay. Our room was also right above a conference room that was being used for some kind of party so we did have some noise. Hallways smelled like weed. The pool space was dark but we didn't end up using it.

Beds were comfortable and linens were clean. Front desk staff was friendly enough - they were very busy and did a good job of helping people quickly.

Came here the 21st after my wedding the first thing we got was a free drink voucher each, from the front desk agent. I unfortunately forgot to get her name, but it was at around 11.

Afterwards when the restaurant closed Laura was super nice and helpful, she accommodated us generously.

The next morning Liz allowed us to sleep in and get a later checkout, also super nice and accommodating.

My wife and I could not recommend this place enough! Especially if you are coming from Castleton!

We stayed here for a wedding and everything was great. There were several wedding parties staying here this weekend, and the staff wasn't overwhelmed at all - our every ask was quickly and professionally answered!

The breakfast dining area worked well; the pool area was clean and neat; the morning after breakfast worked well [the eggs were dry w/o much flavor] for our large group.

The rooms were nice and quiet, even when there were parties next door!

Rooms: Rooms were well appointed; we had a king with a pullout couch; everyone in our large party was happy w their room.

Nearby activities: Loved the Tuscan Plaza being so close; stores, restaurants, pharmacies, and the highway - all right there! Awesome location!

Safety: Felt very safe, walking around, and in our rooms. We traveled recently, and we were worried about our belongings during the day and even our car at night.
