Wonderful celiac safe restaurant! Everything IS good. Super friendly people. Amazing breads you can't get anywhere else. They even have breakfast burritos! My whole family LOVED the chocolate chip cookies, even someone who never liked gluten free versions before.

I have a gluten allergy and my partner has a nut and dairy allergy. He took me here to get some GF goodies before our trip today. We informed the server of his dairy ALLERGY (not lactose intolerance: allergy) and nut allergy. Would have been fine if they said he couldn’t eat here, he’s used to that. But the older woman behind the counter even confirmed with the chef, and it seemed like they could accommodate him, so we trusted them. His sandwich came back with Cheetos in it and it was 3 bites before I noticed (he doesn’t know what a Cheeto looks like). TRAIN YOUR SERVERS BETTER ON ALLERGIES, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A LOCATION WITH A SPECIALIZED GLUTEN FREE KITCHEN. If you are informed of an allergy that you cannot accomodate as a food business: SAY YOU CAN’T ACCOMODATE IT. Better than crossing your fingers. Then we stood at the front for a refund and no one was there. I called out “hello?” 5 times and no one came back to the front until the door chimed to sound the new customers that arrived. We flew out of there. I had to administer his epipen, it was a horrible experience that ruined our trip. Will never return.
Edit In Response to the Business’ Reply:
We made it very clear there was a dairy allergy at the time of our visit before we placed our order. Where you claim that the cheetos are listed in the ingredients on the board, it is lightly scribbled on a sticky note that was almost impossible to read from the customer side of the counter. You claim you are very considerate and knowledgeable with allergies, yet your owner could not even make the clear connection that cheetos would have dairy in them after taking the step to check on the dairy concern in the wrap. That is shameful, and if that is your idea of being allergy-friendly when your own owner does not know what is in the food you are serving, that is a MAJOR issue. Do better, and take responsibility. This was not our fault, it was yours, and the fact you’d try to put this on us after causing a potential life-threatening problem is disgusting.

Cute spot for very tasty gluten free sandwiches and treats. We had the brisket egg sandwich on ciabatta and it was excellent as well as The New Englander on their honey oat bread. We bought a loaf of the bread it was tasty and had a great texture.

I’ve always really enjoyed this bakery — their pasties and bagels are amazing, and I’ve had great experiences in the past. This time, I ordered a birthday cake for the first time and was a bit disappointed. I’ll admit I didn’t think to ask about pricing ahead of time, so that part’s on me, but I was surprised to be charged $63 for a medium cake, especially with only chocolate and vanilla options for both the cake and frosting. I had hoped for a bit more variety, especially from a fully gluten-free bakery.
The cake was presented beautifully, but the texture and flavor didn’t quite live up to the price. I still love supporting small local businesses and will definitely keep coming back for bagels and pastries, but I probably wouldn’t order a cake again.
UPDATE in Response to Owner:
I did not mention at all that I wanted a dairy free cake. I noted that I had never ordered a cake before and didn't know what to order/do. Not sure if that is what caused the confusion but I was only given two options for each. It really is disappointing that I had that many options to choose from and appreciate them clarifying their options.

Incredible food you would never know is gluten free but besides the fact it’s gluten free, it’s some of the best cafe food I’ve had! I grabbed a few of their bagels in their freezer on my way out - delicious breakfast at home!

Family business, incredible service. Everything we tried was delicious, and we tried a lot :)
The place is also spotlessly clean, in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been so impressed by bakery/restaurant cleanliness before.
Worth a trip to Andover!
