I love this place, and have never had a complaint in the over 10 years I've been coming here. I regularly will come and spend $100 on sushi for myself.Tonight was no different. I ordered $70 in sushi, a bottle of saki, and a sapporo to myself. One of the things I regularly order if its available is Uni (sea urchin). Tonight the Uni (sea urchin) was not fresh at all; it was wet, slimey, in a bunch of little bits. It was still orange though so I ate one piece and immediately spit it out. I told them that the Uni has gone bad, it was slimy and bitter and taster foul. I spit one piece out and didnt eat the second.I let them know if had gone bad and the manager insisted it wasn't, that it was fresh, and explained that Uni comes from different regions like this is my first time trying Uni. I eat sushi 2 times a week for over 20 years. I've eaten great Uni at 5 star restaraunts and small shops alike.I've even eaten Uni I've caught myself out of the spiny body. It's a favorite of mine. They took it off the bill, fine, and I tipped 28% on the bill and let the manager know I didn't want free stuff or to complain for no reason, I was doing him a solid by letting him know it had gone bad, and he proceeded gave me a cold shoulder and wouldn't even look at me or respond. That's why I'm leaving this review. For reference, Uni should be a singular piece, bright orange, shouldn't be soggy and slimy, and it most importantly it should be sweet and not sour and bitter.

Nice teppanyaki grill. Sushi was pretty good. Service was spot on. Smaller place which I think adds to the experience.Dietary restrictions: More than happy to accommodate dietary restrictions for our group
Wasabi has great food and drinks with great service. The one issue we've had a few times is that the building gets really cold in the winter. There are no dampers on the stove exhausts so when it's cold outside, wind comes blowing straight down the exhaust and freezes you along with all your food.

No lunch specials on Sunday? Walked out and went Yang Ming instead because they actually do a lunch special on Sundays, ended up paying only 11.25 for a massive amount of food.

I've eaten here three times now with my young daughter. The last visit included my wife and my daughter's friend. The sushi is good, the teriyaki steak in the Bento was lower quality steak, the service is lacking. Particularly on the last visit. The last server seemed a bit put out just to be doing his job. Kept having to ask for basics just to eat the meal. Plates, utensils, etc.. never checked on us to see if we needed anything. A refill on water for example. I believe he was complaining in his native tongue over minor requests. For example we ordered a seaweed salad to be eaten by four people. He put the bowl down on the table. We had nothing but soy sauce dishes and miso soup at this point. We requested some plates, and he brought two. He appeared to be complaining with that request. When we asked for two more plates he again seemed put out. We ordered four cucumber rolls for the kids (two each). One plate had two one plate had one and the last roll was on our plate with our regular sushi roll. I pointed this out and he said the chef put it on there. So we moved that roll to the girl's plate and it pretty much fell apart in the process. We wanted to order ice cream for our daughter and her friend, but one wanted chocolate and the other vanilla. The ice cream was two scoops for $6.00. "Could we have a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate? We don't do that. Okay. We'll have two orders of ice cream, one chocolate and one vanilla with two side plates, please." Three times, I've ordered a kids cup of lemonade at $2.50 but the bill had them at $3.25 The place is busy, the sushi was good, I just don't think I'll be back there. Which is a shame because we live very close by.
Good but very expensive. Had a maitai while I waited for my take-out. My chicken and steak meal was good but unfortunatly more rice and less meat. $47 for the meal and drink- rather expensive in my opinion.

My friend & I have been going here for years as the sushi is good. Most days we ignore that the staff is off putting and rude. Tonight we met after work and wanted to enjoy our wine while catching up. Waitress was very pushy about getting our order. Was very rushed to get us in & out. We will think more than twice about going here again. Sad

We’ve been going here for many years but over the past year we have noticed it is not as good as it used to be. We always just get takeout. This time I ordered one of their specialty rolls. It was way too spicy and barely had any avocado. We also ordered three hibachi dishes and the salads were missing from the takeout. They also charged an extra $2.50 for fried rice which seems excessive when the meals were already $25. I just don’t think the quality and value are there anymore. We will go to another restaurant in the future.

Sat down for hibachi and the waitress didn't let us order sushi because we were sitting at a hibachi table, and an outrageous price of 100$ just for the hibachi and soda. Tomo is the only good hibachi place in
