The evening crew are lazy and would rather talk amongst themselves and rush customers than listen and get the order right. Please hire people with brains and a BIT of work ethic.

Most people who work here can't speak English at all then look at you like you're a roach when you ask for the chicken nuggets you ordered instead of the 2 random items they give you

I don't tend to eat much fast food these days, but I tended to like Wendy's more than others. Food hasn't changed much, which is fine. Prices have of course gone way up due to inflation (started really during the pandemic), but service is middling. Last visit I ordered a #5 (chicken wrap meal) and wound up with a chicken sandwich. It a huge deal but I didn't really want the fried food and by the time I had checked I was already aways enough it wasn't worth driving back for. Of course, usually I check before driving off but being a busy day of running errands, was already tired and not thinking about it. A few times now however, the orders haven't been correct (usually seemingly ending up with someone else's order). Stuff happens, and I won't begrudge smothers for being tired after serving fast food all day, but would be nice to see better checking of what's being handed out and such. Also I don't think the drive thru screen has been fixed since the pandemic. Still running windows Vista I see....

I don’t often write reviews, but after my disastrous visit to the Wendy's on Broadway in Salem NH, I felt compelled to warn others. This place was a complete mess from start to finish, and I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Here’s why
1. Service: The Worst Customer Service I've Ever Experienced
I walked in around lunchtime, and there were only two people ahead of me in line. Despite this, it took nearly 15 minutes for me to get to the counter. The employees were moving at a glacial pace, and no one seemed to care. One of the workers was on their phone in the back, and another was joking around with a coworker, completely ignoring the growing line of customers. When I finally made it to the counter, the employee behind it was unenthusiastic and borderline rude. She didn’t greet me, barely made eye contact, and didn’t even ask if I wanted to "add fries or a drink." I had to repeat my order three times because she kept getting it wrong, and when I mentioned a special request (no onions), I was met with a blank stare.
2. Cleanliness: Filthy Doesn’t Even Begin to Cover It
When I sat down, I immediately noticed that the entire dining area looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The tables were sticky and covered in crumbs, and there were ketchup stains on the floor and chairs. I could hear the sound of a loud fan running from the kitchen, but when I looked over, I saw the workers using it as an excuse to avoid cleaning anything. The trash bins were overflowing, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor in the air that made eating there even more unbearable. How do you run a fast food restaurant and allow your dining area to look this gross?
3. Food Quality: Cold, Stale, and Not What I Ordered
When my meal finally arrived—after an excruciating 20-minute wait—the food was barely lukewarm. I ordered a Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, and when I took the first bite, it was clear the meat had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. The bacon was rubbery and chewy, and the lettuce was wilted and brown around the edges. The fries were soggy and limp—definitely not the crispy, golden fries I’ve come to expect from Wendy’s. To make matters worse, they completely messed up my order! I asked for a side salad, but they gave me a small order of fries (which I didn’t want) and left off the sauce I had asked for. When I brought it up to the counter, the employee seemed completely uninterested and offered no apology.
4. Wait Time: Unacceptable
I get that fast food places can get busy, but the wait time at this Wendy’s was ridiculous. There were only about 5 people in front of me, and yet it took over 30 minutes for my meal to arrive. I’m all for giving employees time to prepare food correctly, but this was absurd. I saw several other customers get frustrated and leave, and I honestly wish I had done the same.
5. Overall Experience: A Complete Letdown
This visit was beyond disappointing. Poor service, unsanitary conditions, and subpar food left me wishing I had gone anywhere else. I’ve had better experiences at drive-thrus that were half as busy as this location, and I’ve had better-tasting food from much smaller chains.
At the end of the day, a fast food restaurant is supposed to be quick, affordable, and easy. This Wendy's failed on all three counts. I left feeling unsatisfied, frustrated, and genuinely grossed out.
If you’re thinking about visiting this location, do yourself a favor and skip it. There are plenty of other fast food places nearby that will treat you with more respect and serve you fresher, hotter food. I’ll never be coming back here again.

Is it because you were just closing when my husband made it there? I wanted a grilled chicken sandwich combo meal with honey mustard and a frosty.
I got a cold grilled chicken ranch wrap, no honey mustard.

Seams like a lot of people are complaining about this Salem store. Oh why was Romanos closed and down for maintenance that day

The line is usually long and slow. There is always something wrong with the order. The people are friendly enough....but when the wait is long and the order always has something wrong....its unfortunate ☹️
The food seem to be hot and fresh from the bag. I ordered through the drive-through and unfortunately didn't receive all of the items that I had ordered so I had to call. They were happy to make remake the order again but unfortunately, I already had to travel this distance twice so at this point didn't want the food anymore, and just wanted a refund the manager was compliant and gave me a refund. Would definitely recommend on having better service skills and check for accuracy in the bag. I know this is the number one complaint across all fast food places but it's such an easy fix. Please read your tickets and check for accuracy.

Wendys next to Walmart in salem,nh. Can I please get the #4 classic sandwich only with mayo only and a 6 piece spicy buffalo saucy nugget? I get a regular sandwich made with lettuce tomato ketchup and pickle and the nuggets were more like a honey BBQ sauce. If you don't know how to take an order you should probably switch careers. I thought it was whoever made the food,then checked the receipt, nope the girl just cant take an order correctly. This was 1011pm tonight.
