I love this place! Always freshly made ice cream with plenty of flavors to choose from. I am glad they make my favorite, which is grapenut! Last visit thou, i tried the pumpkin sage, and it was a close runner-up! You can also purchase NH maple syrup too! The drive is not too far off the beaten path and has plenty of parking. Self-service honor system with cash or venmo. What are you waiting for?

This is by far the best ice cream in the lakes region. Not even close. Unbelievable!!

The owners are extremely rude. Go to the Sandwich Creamery instead, it's just down the road. The Sandwich Creamery has better ice cream and so much more!

Came here in the dark thinking they were probably closed but was surprised to see they were actually open, with self service, and ended up getting the best maple ice cream I've ever had.

The Ice Cream was hit and miss. We got ice cream there on 2 different occasions. The Maple Bourbon Sandwich was very good. The Smore's Sundae was not good. The Owner is not trusting when it comes to the Honor System of the store. She told us that we committed theft, and that she would call the police if we came and bought Ice Cream again without paying at the location. She seemed to want an argument, or to shame us. It was odd. We could not pay right away due to a dead phone and no way to break large bills. We filled out the purchase form with our name and information along with what we purchased. We live about 1 hour from the store, so we decided we would drive home, charge the phone, and pay. Not a big deal we thought, since they have our contact information, and it is the Honor System after all. Within 30 minutes of leaving the store, the owner, Ashley Benes sent many Facebook Messages, and photos, along with a payment request on Venmo. The $12 Payment was sent when we got home and a reply to Ashley was sent stating that Payment was Sent, and an explanation for the delay. She complained that she had to find us on Social Media by investigating the cameras and finding a match to send the messages. She said that we should have left a note on the form. While I do see her point about a note. I do not believe this was coming from a friendly place. It was as if she was trying to make us feel shame. She wanted an apology I think. As if she caught some wrong doing, and was giving us a break so we should be grateful and feel bad? She seemed to seek a conflict. A reply was sent to Ashley stating that there was no need to investigate, we were repeat customers, had purchased ice cream 3 days prior, and that we were not going to run off with $12 worth of Ice Cream. This is when she went a bit over the top and decided to call us Thieves, and that we committed theft by leaving the facility without immediate payment. She said she would not send a reminder next time, and would call the police. I feel it was escalated to a level that was not warranted. Maybe she is a very anxious person. She does not seem to have the heart for an Honor System store, but furthermore, appears to seek this sort of conflict. We have bought many items from numerous Honor System stores, and have never had a problem paying later if we had no service, dead phones, or not the right amount of cash. These places are in the middle of nowhere after all, this is common. Just go to Sandwich Creamery instead. The ice cream is better, and you wont have Ashley Benes trying to make you feel shame for supporting her local business.

I took my family backpacking for the first time and promised them ice cream afterwards. I told them I know a spot and this place was PERFECT after several days of camping. No bathrooms available but 1000% worth the visit

BEST ICE CREAM I’ve ever had. Note: I am one of those people that doesn’t like ice cream but I always go for it because of my kid. I usually take a bite or two and that’s it. This time I fought with my family over eating all the ice cream. 🍦 good stuff!

Stopped in on the way back from a hike for a nice treat! Conveniently located. The shop was nice with lots of product selections and they even take Venmo for payment. The ice cream sandwich was delicious and hit the spot after a long day on the trails.
