The 99 is a New England chain. The food is standard American pub fare. I'd say the food is good for the price, does the job, has plenty of food options on the menu. I much prefer it to an Applebee's type chain.
This place is good the people who work are always nice I like to have a couple of beers and get a good meal and the price is okay. Even during a week I have never had to sit and wait for a booth that's really nice this is the one in amesbury Mass...
I've always loved the 99 and felt it was a great go-to place, especially when I had my nieces & nephews or grandchildren. This time, it was 3 adults and 3 grandchildren.
I had the steak tips (med) and vegetables. My husband had the steak (med), and our daughter and grands had pasta or chicken tenders. I didn't know that my husband's steak was 1/3 gristle until we were leaving.
