I am not a fan of cheese pizza but they have the best I have ever had and order it at least once a week and can't get enough.

Since it was Friday, sunny, and for me, the end of another work week, I decided to treat myself to lunch. So, I picked up the phone and called The Rail at 400 High St in Somersworth. My desire today was a large Steak Bomb(Pic 1). I got it to go since The Rail is for take-out only, I also got an order of their Homemade Meatballs(Pic 2) to go with the lasagna my wife is serving this weekend.Now, about that Steak Bomb. First thing to note, is the size of this behemoth. It's a whopping 18" and loaded with over a pound of meat!!! This caveman's club is loaded with shaved steak, salami, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. This sub was just fantastic! The flavors were out of this world and the sub roll was fresh and chewed wonderfully. It was a perfect Steak Bomb. And no, I didn't finish it. What? Do you think I have a hollow leg???As for the Meatballs, well, they're crazy good and incredibly flavorful, not to mention really big!. How do I know they're good? Let's just say, it's a good thing you can't see the bottom of one of the Meatballs. I cut some off because I couldn't wait. They just smelled so good.I gotta tell you, while I was there, I noticed all the renovations being done. It turns out, Old Rail Pizza will have a new name The Rail / La Stazione. The Rail will offer their previous menu for take-out only(Pics 3-4) and La Stazione is going to be an upscale restaurant, unlike anything ever seen in Somersworth. All the renovations are looking beautiful. I can't wait to see it finished!!!Dine on!

If you’re looking for an honest and unbiased review, this is it. I’m visiting from Pennsylvania and I do alot of traveling and like to try pizza places wherever I go. I got the loaded and the great steak pizza. Both were phenomenal. The pizzas took a little longer than what they originally told me, but it was a rainy weekend day so I’m sure they were very busy. I will probably try another pizza before I go. Keep up the good work.

Love the food here. Tried most everything and I'm continually impressed. My favorite affordable pizza in the lilac area for sure, and New York style crust of course. Very friendly and welcoming regulars and staff really makes this place feel like a visit to the favorite family members summer bbq. Always lots of fun and always leave fat and happy

Edit: 10 cent wings are back! Ok, so they have been back but I am slow to share. Still great specials including 10 cent wings on Tuesday and Thursday from 4-9pm. Try the marinated steak tip sub, it's messy but super good!Original: Always friendly happy service, great food and great daily specials.

I kind of felt like I was walking onto the set of Cheers. There's quite a long bar and it was full at the time we visited. I commented to my dining companion on the Cheers vibe and she laughed out loud - she had felt the same thing!Waitress was super friendly. She pointed out if we didn't split the check and the bill came to more than $40 and we paid with cash instead of a credit card, that we would get a $10 gift card to come back another time. So we didn't and we did - great incentive!I felt the portions were generous, really loved the French fries, and the food delivery was very quick.We did dine in this day, but when I go back with the $10 gift card I probably will just get something to go.
