Starters were excellent but mains were poor. Almost nothing that my husband who is lactose intolerant could have - they adapted the pork chop for him by taking off the dressing on the chop and switching out the potatoes for fries but the pork was tough - even the sharp knife struggled to cut it. Mine was slightly better but not a patch on a Seasons 52 chop. The dining room decor was tired with patches missing in several places from the ceiling. I had to sit to the side so that my husband blocked out the extremely bright light outside shining directly through the far window into my eyes. Expensive for what it was as well.

We were staying in the Sugar Hill Inn and dined here out first evening. The dining room is very comfortably furnished with several high backed chairs, one table with two couch like seating. The menu is limited but all good choices and we were very impressed with both presentation and taste. There is a small bar before the dining room entrance and we did see one couple eating in there. We did not eat there our second evening mainly because the menu was the same and we wanted a lighter meal. If you are staying at Sugar Hill Inn be sure to dine there at least once.

Excellent meal provided. Service was exceptional and ambiance is nice. Our overall stay at the Inn wasn't great but dinner was the highlight

Overall a wonderful meal experience. A quaint and cozy dining room, friendly and attentive service and delicious food. The braised lamb shank was possibly the best I ever had. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

Although we did not stay at the Inn this time, we made made reservations for dinner at the Inn due to exceptional experiences in prior years. Once again we were rewarded with delicious meals and friendly service. We highly recommend staying at the Inn, if available, but if not, definitely have dinner there!

This hidden gem is well worth a visit. Everything is home-made and delicious. Our waitress Hope was wonderful.

Quaint inn and greetings and check in was smooth and quick. Restaurant is a bit crowded, but food was delicious and an upscale presentation.

The experience was very nice as was the waitress .The food was very good. The prices were a little high, thus the 4 star rating for value.

Had the dining room to myself the nite I went. I ordered the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, which cut like butter, with an absolutely outstanding Marsala sauce. Delicious bread. Grateful for a nice, light sorbet offering for dessert. Breakfast the next morning was stuffed french toast and crispy bacon which was made to order accompanied by homemade scones.

The food was excellent. The Oyster chowder was about the best I ever had. The Ceasar salad was nice & fresh. I liked the fact the dressing was on the side, so I was able to determine how much I wanted to add in. My Sirloin was done perfectly. I really enjoyed the red wine reduction. For dessert we did both the Raspberry Sorbet & the Brownie Sundae. Both were great. Good to see Chef Val & his staff really hitting their stride. Basically, I feel he's about the best chef in the White Mtn. region.

Chef Val does not disappoint. His food is excellent! Very fresh and the presentation beautiful. He came out to visit with us which was very nice as we have enjoyed dining at his restaurant for the past three years before he closed it in July (Timber Alley in Littleton NH) . Chef Val's cuisine is why we visited the restaurant. Our server was wonderful as well. She was vey attentive and pleasant. We had a wonderful dining experience, and I would recommend!

We were staying at Sugar Hill Inn for the weekend so booked in advance for the 4 course meal experience and paid quite a bit for it. I don't mind spending money for quality and their website suggested that they got quite busy for dinner so it was best to book in advance. So--I did. I love Bed and Breakfasts and am generally pleased to take their recommendations. Well, when we arrived, apparently, the Inn no longer offers these "4 course meal experiences"--even though I had just booked a couple of weeks prior. And the dining room was half empty or more so I needn't have booked this (non) experience in advance. the 4 course meal was probably double what I would have spent if I had known better and just ordered what I wanted from the menu. The food was good. The LARGE amuse bouche of braised duck was outstanding and absolutely first class. The rest of the food was good--not great but good enough. Our waitress, Hope, was outstanding in every way. This Inn is lucky to have her. The other staff we met seemed completely clueless about both the Inn and how to work in a service industry. I think the Sugar Hill Inn is past it's prime. They either need to up their game or lower their prices. I would suggest that you spend your dining time in nearby Littleton--Sour's Taverna was 20/10 on the food scale and I was told that other restaurants in the town are also outstanding.
