We tried twice to dine here during their listed hours, and both times they were unexpectedly closed. The first time, the place was empty. The second time, we arrived two hours before closing, only to be told they had already shut everything down.

Where is the greeter? Is there a different entrance other than what i assume is the front, where you would find a greeter? Is this a private place off limits to tourist? Is there a certain attire? We walked briefly through, no warm feeling at all, almost thought I walked into I don't know, wasn't suppose to be there? Or allowed, geez my father use to be an Awesome golfer, from Havard, Dunstable, Ayer, MA, Fort Devens MA, he would have been accepted there, don't recall if he played there tho.

Such an odd experience. We went to the Tavern and ate in the bar. There was zero ambiance, and less so in the dining room - it was quite weird. Don't try to sit at the bar as that would have been incredibly uncomfortable, and unwelcomed. Drinks were not done very well either and the food was extremely disappointing. We tried it and were hoping for more, but won't go back - there's really no reason to try it again.

I will apologize first if this seems rude as that is not how i mean to come off however these are for honest reviews and I feel the reviews we read were misleading.I feel the atmosphere was very blah. There was no soft contemporary music or anything and besides the other conversations it was eerily quiet. Prices were rather high for some products. I ordered cod fishsticks for $25.00 and they tasted like a vat of oil, crispy crunchy batter but very thick and not appetizing and lacked flavor. My husband ordered the strip steak for $39.00 and it was burnt on the outsides but practically raw and cold inside. They also only had three staff that we saw. We were not familiar with the area so we gave it a try based on reviews.

We did not stay here overnight, but only went there for a dinner. It was during the busy fall foliage season and they were not taking guests who didn't have reservations. We did not know we needed reservations and they were so kind as to take us if we were willing to sit in the "bar" area, which we did. The food was delicious.

IMHO There is a fine line between a well-managed country inn and a dump. No open restaurant for breakfast! No chairs in rooms! Sparse dinner menu and it doesn't change. Not that they are not trying. Enough said!!!

Excellent food and service. Great views!! We even spotted a bear in the neighboring field!! Highly recommended.

The caesar salad seemed to be lettuce from a bag, with ok croutons, & some cheese; overpriced at $9.. The burger was very good; onion rings were not so good. Lovely views

We stayed here for two nights and had the sunset view room on the third floor. We had a wedding to attend close by and found this to be a reasonable price as well as distance to the venue. Quick and easy check in process, along with a clean inn and room. The inn is close to Franconia (<5min) and Littleton (<15) for restaurants and shopping. I would recommend bringing bottled water as there was no water stations or any ice stations throughout the property. There were plastic cups provided in the room, but the bathroom sink tap water was the only water available. Don’t forget your phone if you need an alarm as there are no alarm clocks or regular clocks in the room or any phones. Our room had a small portable ac unit that definitely needed to be cleaned, smelled of mold and made us very congested and sneezy during our stay. Overall a cute inn, could use a few changes to really maximize your stay. 9 hole golf course across the road which was fun to play

Meeting up for the family reunion has never been better. Beautiful setting and charming inn with impeccable service was the perfect place for our family reunion. From drinks by the pool to dinner on the veranda & sunsets on the golf course, we felt so taken care of by the ever-smiling staff. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

I choose this location as a stop on our trip through the fall colors in New Hampshire and we were not disappointed! The stars that night were so incredibly bright that it was like looking at a velvet sky. The view of the colors on the mountains the next morning were even better!

Arrived late pm for an overnight before skiing Loon. Friendly folks greeted us and we enjoyed the view of Cannon Mountain and the Presidential Range before sunset. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant, a simple casual menu with good wine. Filet mignon and chicken cutlet were tasty, followed by a Chocolate lava cake(save room for this). Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. A gas fireplace kept us warm. Would definitely return for a longer stay. A little gem on the countryside.
