Stark House Tavern, the local watering hole. The only place where I can hate every ingredient in something and end up liking it (M-80s). The "North of the Border" tots? Immaculate. Imagine munchkins except they're mashed potatoes in a shell of deliciousness, smothered in gravy and cheese curds. Angels sing every time a plate of them gets put in front of me. The burgers? Perfect. As long as you dont order it well done like a buffoon.
My only gripe with this place is that it's not big enough but that's okay because they serve you beer in the "waiting room", which is enough to shut me up about waiting. Way better than the doctors office waiting room. My second only gripe is that I wish they had more options for Sours and Ciders, cause I love them and there's usually only 1 or 2. This is a "me" problem because I'm at Stark more than I'd like to admit, and get bored easily. They do have a good selection of Stouts, Porters and IPAs, which are essentially jet fuel in my humble opinion. The servers are also super nice! (yes I just left there a few hours ago).
Just a great little hole in the wall spot. My wife and I have been twice, food is simple but we'll executed bar food classics, served on paper plates, with friendly service. We both enjoyed our burgers, and a fried pickle app. On-tap beer selection is wide and interesting. We will definitely be back.

We ordered for takeout and it was so easy and delicious.
Wings were definitely fresh, not frozen, buffalo sauce had a really nice tang, only downside chicken a little dry. Buffalo sauce won't burn your face off but definitely not mild. Place only has seven tables in main dining room, with hard chairs, and is very loud.
There was plenty of area for all 7 of us inside the restaurant. They put a few tables together for us and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Service was great and the selection of food was amazing. So delicious! FRESH.

Got some takeout this evening. Two different taco dinners. Both came with fries which was good. Salad was good but the tacos were not. Pulled pork was old and over sauced. It seemed like it was pre cooked and sat in a steam tray too long. The bulgogi beef was very similar. Seemed pre cooked and kept warm for a long time. Neither was fresh, very scoop and serve. It was disappointing.

I ordered beef short ribs off the menu….quite pricey…..what came was a plate of pot roast covered in gravy…..pretty disappointing - pot roast is an economical cut of beef and should have been half the price of short ribs….not a great substitution….

Meh...not my type of place. Early dinner at 3pm. Place was maybe half full and still really noisy. Food was just okay.

Passed by here a few times on the way to the lake and made a point to stop as I read they had award winning wings. Glad we did, and they were right! The wings are incredible and have an array of sauces one of which is the " I double dog dare you boo boo which the name speaks for itself... HOT! but that's what i was looking, if you seek out hot wings like me this is your place. Needless to say wings are a MUST. Got the scallop and burnt end app which was incredible, honestly the best scallops iv had. Also got the korean tacos that were lights out. This tavern puts out some seriously good food and it shows. Somewhat open style kitchen which was great you can see them back there certainly committed to their craft. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, would have stayed longer if we could but will be back for sure. Thank you very much for the great hospitality!

My husband and I decided to go here for dinner after a week at Cold Springs Camp ground. Finally free of the kids and grandkids.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Walked in an were asked if we wanted a seat at the bar, inside or outside. We chose outside. Loved the choice. Ordered drinks and an appetizer. Asked to be left alone for awhile before ordering dinner. Rachel accommodated every thing we asked for and more. She even laughed at my husband's lame jokes ?
I could not recommend this place enough.

My husband has been here many times during lunch breaks for work, this was the first time we've gone as a family. Our server was super nice and attentive. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was delicious, I just wish I had a different option for cheese as I'm not a huge fan of American. I'm sure if I had asked it could have been accommodated. The wings and tots were amazingly tasty. I was really happy to see there was a kids menu available though it's not listed online.
