Food was great. Love the option for 1, 2, or 3 pancakes or French toast. Corned beef hash was excellent and the stuffed French toast a nice option.
Waited for like 30 min, to sit and eat on father's day!
Stopped here for breakfast while riding the Cheshire Rail Trail - can't recommend enough. Good coffee and fresh donut holes dipped in real maple syrup - love it!
This place has been around for 50 years and I just heard about it last week. Really delicious breakfast food at this place and they get their beef from right across the street. The maple syrup is great and a warm jug is served with your meal. The pancakes were super fluffy and the waffles had a really great vanilla flavour. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly as was eggs Benedict. Can’t wait to come back.
I have been coming to breakfast for 20 years and today was the 2nd time in 4 weeks that I had horrible food and breakfast for 2 was 72.00 with tip we had eggs Benedict for my wife with a coffee and I had 2 eggs over easy and cold home fries with Sausage and 1 small pancake plain. This cost is crazy way to high You just lost a bi weekly customer I will get a blueberry muffin before I spend 70.00 for a cold breakfast. Boy are times a changing
If you're just passing through, put this on your must do list! For those lucky enough to be locals, you already know! Stewart and John's has created amazing memories for everyone who passes through their restaurant. The food is great, the atmosphere is great, there is no doubt you're entering a farm friendly legacy. Robyne and crew are super friendly and ready to make your experience memorable. I'm working on a blog post celebrating Westmoreland. Stewart and John's is an obvious first stop! Stay tuned for the full post.
Amazing Maple creamy soft serve! We will be back!
We drive from CT to have their amazing breakfast! We stock up on maple syrup because you can’t find better syrup anywhere! The family that runs it are so sweet and kind. It’s a super laid back atmosphere. Fall is my favorite time to go but the other seasons are beautiful as well.
Sadly - the WORST Customer Service we have Ever experienced!!!! Today was a busy day, as I am sure most weekends are. We checked in and were told it could be a 30 to 40 minute wait, which was fine. We went into where they were boiling for quite some time and finally after 45 minutes I went out to the front desk to see if it was getting close to being our time to be seated - I was told there were four parties in front of our party of 3. After an hour and 10 minutes we decided to wait out front by the hostess area and I again asked where we were in line. We were told there were two parties in front of us at this time. After about ten minutes and with our number being on the top of the list - I noticed a table opened up with five chairs around it. I then heard somebody else’s buzzer go off, and I knew that they had only recently checked in to be seated. I decided to approach the hostess, who was a very young girl and ask her if that table of five that just opened up was going to be ours - she became very uncomfortable and said she would go speak to the manager. The manager then approached and I had mentioned that we were there an hour and 20 minutes at this time and I noticed a table had opened up and I asked if that was going to be ours and she pointed about eight people after my number on the waitlist sheet and said …….well it was for a party of five and that we would be seated when a table of four or less opened up And I told her that our party of three could fit nicely at the table with five chairs at it and I explained how it was not fair that people that were only waiting for five or 10 minutes were about to be seated when we have been waiting an hour and 20 minutes And she explained again that since we only had three people in our party, we had to wait for a smaller table, so I felt this was extremely unfair and I could tell there were other people that were uncomfortable and also angry as they were going through the same situation that I was going through. The manager decided that she would seat us at that table of five, even though that wasn’t their normal process of seating people. I could tell she was a bit uncomfortable with me questioning their process and other people all around me were also listening to the discussion. What kind of business treats their customers this way other than money hungry people!!!??!! A business that just wants larger parties to sit down no matter how long other, smaller parties have been waiting. I mean, I can understand not sitting us down at a table for eight or more, but come on - three people sitting at a table for five seems perfectly acceptable and the normal in the restaurant business.!!!!!!! Since we waited in the boiling room, we didn’t see this happening early on or there’s no way I would’ve waited the whole hour and 20 minutes knowing how they seated their customers. I saw the sheet of paper with my number on it and that there had already been at least six other parties crossed off and seated before me even though they came in after me because they had larger parties And this restaurant only has about five tables that seat four or less people so they cater to large parties by the sounds!! Rude! I think this is absolutely horrible - disgusting service and a terrible way to treat your customers and we will never ever go back to this establishment

Very disappointing. Went with my family and waited well over an hour after being told 40 minutes. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals which was great but I didn’t enjoy mine. I got a simple veggie omelet and it tasted bad. Veggies were fresh. It looked great but whatever oil they used tasted reused or old and it overtook my meal and covered my omelet in grease. I tried two bites and even put hot sauce on it to hide the flavor but it didn’t work. I picked it apart to test the veggies which were good. I complained and asked for a refund. I ate three pieces of bread and two cups of coffee and the potatoes were cold and hard as well. The manager insisted I hate half of it and gave me only half my money back. I was very angry and extremely disappointed that they lost a customer over a $9 difference after spending $150 with them. Poor customer service on the managers part. The servers were great but unfortunately I will never visit their establishment again. Very unfortunate. And disappointing that they hold no accountability, concern or empathy for their locals.
You clearly could care less. You’re callus humans. Such a shame people like you exist. Fortunately you have a lot of customers with subpar standards.

We were told the wait would be 40 min it was over a hour. Food was cold when it did come out. Omelet was horrible asked for it to be remade. They said no and that half was eaten. Three bites were taken out of it. Customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Very small menu, and the prices on some of the things are outrageous. Pancakes are the size of the plate, however, I was just super underwhelmed.
