Today I apparently experienced the newest owner or manager of the Village Bean “in action”. Such rude behavior I have never seen exhibited by a business owner or manager. While waiting for an employee to FINISH making my drink, a man interrupted to ask about a pre-made drink on the counter…a ”call-in order” was the response. Next, this man walked out & around picked up not 1, but 2 self-serve coffee pumps and proceeded to “plunk then down” across the counter in front of me & my drink I was waiting to be completed. He then indicated the employee should take care of those 2 pumps IMMEDIATELY which she did. He PROCEEDED to walk away to the OPPOSITE END of the service counter and pour himself 2 CAPSFUL of some drink. NOW, I finally said I was waiting for MY “IN PROCESS” DRINK TO BE FINISHED & should not have to be waiting for the pumps to be taken care of. Without a word, he walked over, completed my order & rung up my drink. NO APOLOGY for the wait, the interruption, or the exceedingly rude behavior. I told him how shocked I was to find such rude behavior in this coffee shop, one I had so enjoyed while living in Windham in previous years. I further told him his behavior towards his employee or colleague was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, particularly in front of a customer !!! Thinking back now, I should have left the drink on the counter and walked out…leaving him with a sale to void!!! I vow to NEVER RETURN to this shop!!! So sad to think this was once the nicest little gathering place in Windham?

Great cafe and reasonable pricing. The owner, Nasr, is a wonderful guy. I’d recommend having your coffee meetings here.

Great vibe! They roast the flavor into their beans which makes their coffee amazing. Plus, their pastries are fresh and tasty

Just wanted to grab a coffee at a local shop. The vibe of the shop was both unfriendly and dated. As someone who’s worked in smaller coffee shops for years I understand that pace is a lot slower. But we weren’t even acknowledged when we walked through the doors. After ordering I genuinely felt like leaving and canceling my order.Overall go somewhere else.

Delicious muffins and the friendliest staff! It was such a nice atmosphere when I popped in. Clearly a community hub and locals favorite. The chai tea latte was very good although a bit sweet for me. Looking forward to returning and hanging out here.

New ownership is a joke, unfriendly sweat shop with nothing for sale.

So this is your classic small town coffee shop. Extremely mediocre coffee, always offered in some sort of sickly sweet flavor (chocolate brownie, turtle, etc). They have about 200 menu items, of which two or so are done well.In my dreams, the village bean would get a Marzocco, start buying beans from a local roasters and find a few high schoolers who actually care about coffee. Now I’d pay $6 for that kind of latte!

This is a nice little coffee shop. Pretty close to 93. It was fairly easy to get in and of.

Definitely a cute place, but they made the drink right in front of me, and I think I just paid $6.75 for watery juice? It was good, just - wow, the price was unreasonable. It was the mango refresher. Just be aware that this is what you’re paying for. I’ll be looking for a cheaper coffee shop.
