Two fantastic visits - 1/31 and 2/25 - for my wife's birthday and then mine. Patrick provided awesome service, and our food was AWESOME! I had seen bacon-wrapped scallops on the appetizer menu and knew I was getting that! Main courses were also fantastic, and Patrick conversed with us about the paranormal events experienced there, since we are ghost hunting fans. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! Can't wait to go again.

We had our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding here with 40 people on 11/22 and it was wonderful - the food was great and all of the guests said that they enjoyed it! The atmosphere was relaxed and we enjoyed the live music! Thank you for accommodating us!

The food was amazing, and so was the service. The menu however is misleading. They had NONE of the bourbon on the drink menu. That's the reason I chose the restaurant in the 1st place. Wild turkey is not top shelf no matter what they tell you lol

I have lived in Salem for 25 years. I have to say I as a restaurant lover for some reason or another never visited this location until tonight. I loved it. I dropped the ball not visiting this amazing dining experience.

My recent dining experience at The Windham Restaurant in New Hampshire was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and the service, provided by our server Taylor, was impeccable.
I ordered the fish and chips, which came with a generous serving of onion rings and French fries. The fish was incredibly fresh and the entire dish was well worth the $25 price tag. The highlight of my meal, however, was the sweet potato and cranberry salad – it was absolutely the best part of the night!
My wife and I also shared the shrimp and crab cakes, which were delightfully crispy and flavorful. While my wife found her Caesar salad to be just okay, she thoroughly enjoyed the chicken pasta. The pasta was super creamy with perfectly cooked chicken.
One of the most impressive aspects of our visit was the speed of the service. We were in and out in about 30 minutes, which was perfect for our evening plans.
Overall, The Windham Restaurant provided a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and excellent service.

Tonight I attended the Mystery Murder Dinner with my sister and cousin. I have to say that it was a wonderful night, great atmosphere and food. I have a citrus allergy and forgot to mention this to staff when booking the event. I have never been treated so kindly and with privacy about my allergy. After speaking with the staff, she came back to me told me what food I could eat then had the kitchen make me a pasta dish with no lemon. I am so thankful to the wonderful staff to understanding allergies and making me feel comfortable.

I have not been to the Windham Restaurant in many years. Went last night to have dinner and play music bingo. The bartender in the speakeasy lounge made our night so enjoyable. She was friendly, pleasant, lovely to chat with, and her personality was outstanding. Food was good. I got an autumn salad and added grilled shrimp. The meal was fresh with lots of flavor. My friend got a pasta dish with chicken, broccoli & ziti. Severing size was large. We both took food home. I would definitely revisit again.

This was our 3rd trip to The Windham Restaurant. The first two times were excellent. This visit was a little disappointing. There was construction going on upstairs which made for a very loud distraction while dining. The food was good, but tonight not quite as good as the first 2 trips. Overall still a decent dining experience, but I'm not sure it would be my first choice next time.
Food was great along with atmosphere. Suggestion: The restaurant should show the prices for the "by the glass" wines (3 pages in the menu) so the customers don't have to ask.
Entrées were outstanding, we had the duck and baked haddock. Service was very slow but not the waiter's fault, he was very good. Kitchen staff really were poor to awful; vegetable and potato were cold, my hot tea was cold, my wife's escargot was served without any bread because they "ran out". Really? Ran out of bread before 6PM? Parking was almost nonexistent. I doubt that we will be going back.
The Windham Restaurant is a great spot. The rustic building has a ton of character. There is a nice outdoor deck space in addition to the indoor seating and a new indoor/outdoor lounge space is currently being built. The service was great starting with the people at the host/hostess stand, and continued with the wait staff who were friendly and attentive. Our two apps were great, raw oysters and chicken fingers, (I know weird combo), and the spicy scallops and General Tso chicken, broccoli and rice were great. We'll definitely be back.
Very slow service every time I've been here but certainly not the worst restaurant I've ever been to just somewhat behind the times more based on serving the elderly demographic (steak, chicken, lamb chops, beer etc.), the baked stuffed shrimp and haddock are very average, the vegetarian dishes are surprisingly excellent, barely any options for drinks just alcohol, mocktails, water, coke, sprite and gingerale. I wouldn't recommend for people in the younger generations like myself unless you plan on treating your parents/older family members to a meal from their times
