My husband and I were excited to try this place, noted ahead of time that they had items on the menu that were gluten free and some vegan options (which is helpful for my dairy allergy). We ordered and found that most things on the menu that were marked gf were in fact not safe for anyone with celiac as it had cross contamination.- if this is the case a restaurant should not label this as gf. I ordered the only thing on the menu marked as gf and vegan. Shortly after the manager came out and informed me that their chef had made the sauce with heavy cream. They said they would make some sort of stir fry for me that was cooked in a separate skillet. The βmealβ that came out was completely inedible. Not only was the garlic so overwhelming it was spicy, but to my horror the chicken was RAW. Would recommend going just about anywhere else in wolfeboro and avoiding this place.

Great food! I had the Back Bay Bowl π₯£ it's crispy white rice w/black bean corn salsa, smashed avocado, crispy tortilla strips & a lite lime ranch dressing on the side. I added the garlic dill shrimp. OMG was it delicious and filling. My wife had the Chicken Parm also, a big hit.
I suggest making a reservation. We luckily had a 6pm res on a Saturday. It was a 45-50 min wait for a walk in.
A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! It will be a goto when we're in Wolfboro.

Went on a summer Sunday evening. Outside seating by the water was a nice ambiance. The server Jill was pleasant and attentive. The steak tacos were excellent and the chicken sandwich and butternut squash meals were also very good. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect day to be sitting on the deck. Christine our server was quick to take our drink orders so we wouldnβt dehydrate. Exception service! Food was delicious and prices are very affordable for a waterfront location. Looking forward to coming back again this summer!!

We found this place while passing thru. Good food, great ambiance. I just wish I wasn't with someone with a crustacean allergy. It was like being in a candy store while on a diet. Will stop again if I the area. Lol.
Good food. Service was good but rushed and business like. The table we got was terrible. They could have sat us in a better place. It was so close to the door to go in and out of the deck so it was an extremely high traffic area. Many other tables were available. The hostess should smarten up a bit.

After many years of being on Lake winnipeauskee, we finally made it to the Back Bay Boathouse, and it will not be our last. The service was fantastic with personal attention. From the seating out on the back deck, appetizers to the main courses and, of course, the drinks were great. We had a party of 10 celebrating a birthday and the staff help to make it more of a special day. We look forward to many more visits. Thank you, Back Bay Boathose, for a great day.
