Server was nice but not well versed in cuisine. We had a vegetarian in our party and requested a pasta dish without meat. They seemed perplexed by the idea, and the result was buttered pasta. As a former cook, I know it is no large task to make pasta with pesto, alfredo, or a caprese-style dish (all Italian staples). Within the Mediterranean palette, there are many delicious vegetarian dishes to choose from. On that front the service was dismissive, and the menu an insult to vegetarians or anyone who doesn't want meat for their meal.
For an establishment named with an Italian word, the ignorance of the staff, including the cook we met about the "special request" veg dish was a shame. They acted like making a caprese salad (mozzarella, tomato, basil, balsamic glaze) was an inconvenience.
Besides the ridiculously high prices (the food was good, but not deserving that charge even in Wolfeboro), elements of the atmosphere and service were off. Dry grilled bread with no butter or dipping oil? No vase or larger bottle for water for the table?
Overall we enjoyed the food but there is much room for improvement if this establishment wants to last, attract us locals, and live up to its claim of Italian influence.

The place was nice, but the food was aggressively just okay. The menu has a lot of seafood, which isn't my thing, but the filet certainly didn't keep up with other steaks I've had in the same price range.
Leaving aside that they had Balvenie 21 listed as a "rare bourbon" (it's neither), they had a selection of whisk(e)y available, but not a ton, and at far above expected prices.
It wasn't bad, it's just that nothing really stood out.

Nice place, good food, interesting menu. Cocktails and taps were good as well. I especially liked the Belgian black ale. Stuffed calamari appetizer was really interesting. Mussels app was the best, excellent broth. My lamb entree was tasty but should have got the streak frites it looked awesome. Strawberry cesar salad got rave reviews. Desserts; cheese cake & Crème brûlée were just okay. Service was good.

Although food was fabulous and service wonderful, somehow Trenta mixed up the two separate guest tabs for our table so charges went to wrong credit cards. Mistakes can certainly happen but the response from restaurant personnel when this customer called to get corrected was long in coming. The promised call from the manager never occurred and there was never an apology! Such a lack of good customer service was surprising from such a prestigious and otherwise reputable restaurant! Consequently it necessitated me calling couple times to follow up as there was no response. Finally, to my surprise assistant staff stated it would be just easier if the two customers settled the tab difference instead which I thought was strange as it was clearly the restaurant’s mistake. It was only when they realized I was being persistent that the restaurant relented and finally made the correction which seemed simple enough once they had the proof of the mixup from receipts.

Had a spectacular dinner at Trenta last night. This restaurant is just outside of Wolfeboro with plenty of parking and a beautiful outdoor patio. The food was amazing. We will be frequent customers.

We really wanted to like this restaurant, however! It is a very nice, clean and pretty setting with outdoor dining available. The service was attentive and pleasant. Now the bad - Wait time for the appetizer was long and the meal even longer. The food was terrible. The baked oysters Rockefeller were a mouthful of salt. The flat iron steak was ordered medium well, but arrived very rare, cold and was tough and fatty. The frites were soggy. The halibut was tasteless and was supposed to have hollandaise sauce on it, but there was none. The crabmeat was not fresh and also no taste. The veggies it was served with were overcooked. We don't mind spending $100.00 for one appetizer and 2 entrees, but would be nice if they were eatable, but far from it. Not sure we would even give it a 2nd chance.
The menu is exciting, but its execution is poor. The Frito Misto was tasty, but the vegetables were thick slices instead of delicate shoestrings. The Fettuccine With Fresh Clams was gummy and contained only seven small clams. The Rotisserie Chicken With Fresh Morels was dry slices of chicken which had sat too long under warming lights. It was a disappointing experience, except for the charming young server!
The food was really good but we were blown away in disbelief when the waitress tried to remove my appetizer as I was actively enjoying it. Then he asked to take the remaining cheesecake home and she never brought it out to us. She tossed it!

Think of the most mediocre, overpriced and under seasoned meal you’ve ever had and that sums up the food at Trenta. Service was okay-ish, but slow for the volume of diners in the restaurant.
Just wish someone could be able to play the piano there. People used to all the time but they put up a sign saying no more:( what a loss.
Charming and cozy atmosphere. Service was top notch.
Our server Emma was amazing!
Recommend the steak frites and Braciole they were delicious!

The kitchen was slammed and they couldn't handle it. My daughter's filet came out as a sirloin cut to look like a filet. It's was fatty and under cooked. The other filet that was supposed to be medium was rare. The service was so slow that after 90 minutes the people next to us still didn't have their food. Very disappointing.
We always enjoy Trenta and on Wednesday night we were surprised to see an old friend behind the bar! So very happy to see Toni again! As always the food was fabulous! Just love this place!!!!
