PAY ATTENTION to the receipt and what you order. Waitress asked if we wanted onions in homefries for 2 eggs, any style with toast when we ordered. It was so matter of fact that it seemed more of a preference question rather than an extra preparation and fee associated item. Most homefries do come with some onions in breakfast places I've been previously so did not think anything of it and said sure.Nowhere did it say on the bottom of the menu or within the cluster of items in that section of the menu it was extra charge. She failed to mention that it was extra when asking as well. When bringing to the attention of the waitress when the check came, she pointed to the Hungry Man Breakfast section and said that onions were $0.75 extra for ALL menu items, though from the photos you can see it is labeled and blocked in with just that breakfast item. With a brand new menu that was just created (waitress pointed this out) you'd think they would be clear and honest what they are charging their customers and how things are prepared (or not) which incur additional charges. If folks who are on fixed incomes expect one price but are nickel and dimed to drive up check prices and, thus, tip amounts, this seems rather dubious to me. Though I am grateful to not be in that situation, it's important other diners BE AWARE and ASK what's extra or not so they are informed. (See photo of receipt and 2 eggs any style with home fries and toast price, and segment where the extra cost is associated with the Hungry Man Breakfast)When the restaurant comments to say it is on every page of the menu, I invite you to explore the photos of the menu that clearly do not show that anywhere.

Stopped here on the way home to Nashville from CT on a whim, and I'm so glad we did! I ordered the feta omelette plus tomatoes and mushrooms, and it was easily the best omelette I have ever eaten! The home fries, bacon and even the toast were all amazing! My son had the gyro, and he said that it was fantastic too! Add to that top notch service from friendly staff, and this is going to be an annual stop!

Nice homey place for breakfast. We stopped here on the way to a jobsite. Some of the best homefries I've had. Great service as well. If you're around the area then stop here.

We randomly picked this restaurant as we were passing through Alpha because of its great reviews. It lived up to a 5 star rating. The Owner/Chef and staff were all friendly. The place was cozy and inviting. The decor was interesting and some of it was for sale and the food was good old home cooking and delicious. We highly recommend this as a destination even if you’re not a local. Excellent experience all around.

Was pleasantly surprised. Old time diner feel. Waitresses were very attentive. My coffee cup never went empty. Food was fresh, warm, and made-to-order. Portions were very generous, allowing food to take home. Very good breakfast, will definitely return for lunch and/or dinner.

I researched a breakfast place that serves real potatoes rather than the frozen bagged potatoes that most places serve in today's world.Based on the high reviews, it convinced me to visit (myself).I decided to order a waffle with Turkey Sausage as a ($4.50) side. The waffle was by far the worst tasting I can remember ever having in a very long time. Aside from being gummy, it lacked a taste that would encourage a customer to want another bite. The side of sausage was a joke. Two (2) round patties the size of a half dollar, all for $4.50 - really?! Cutting the sausage with a metal knife was unbelievably difficult. The taste was horrible. Around the edge of the sausages, it appeared to be freezer burned. The Coffee was O.K. Service was good and when I left my plate to the side with 1/2 the waffle left and the sausages left except one bite, the attentive waitress asked what was wrong.I explained how bad the food was and she was real nice to hear me out. She did explain many people order the waffle and no one has complained. She was very nice about the situtation and asked if there was something else she could get for me.When I declined and asked for the bill, she said she would remove the sale.In the end I was charged $2.00 which was very kind even though I insisted to pay the full price.I find it hard to believe customers enjoy their waffles or sausage. Judging from the customers and interaction with staff most are locals and know what to buy.Learning to make a daily fresh Waffle mix would greatly improve quality (rather than a pre-mix commercial purchase), while improving greatly the margin of the business. To be fair, I never did get a chance to taste the fresh potatoes or another breakfast item on the menu.Unfortunately for me I won't be returning and grateful in the way they handled my in-person complaint. That does say something in how important a customer is to their business.
