Visited for breakfast. Small farm house style restaurant seating about 35-40 people but super cute and cozy with charm. Family owned. The older brother was very kind and accommodating. I ordered a vegan style breakfast burrito that was excellent! Reasonably priced. Would definitely come back.

We stumbled on the Lake House Cafe in Andover and we can't wait to stumble back. It was AMAZING!! They have a menu that looks like it should be on 5th Avenue, NYC. The only difference is their food is a quarter of the price and way better tasting. Terry, who was our waiter/friend was a joy to talk with and learn a little history of the town and his sister, the chef. We are an hour and a half away from Andover (nice little antique area btw) but we will be going back just for another great meal and a chat with Terry. Too bad there are only five stars available.

This place is a HUGE hidden gem. Came up on a search this morning so we visited for lunch. Terry and team really did a great job putting this together. Loved the friendly atmosphere, food was amazing.

We will be back.

Hidden Gem Worth Every Sip – Lakehouse Café
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tucked away like a well-kept secret, Lakehouse Café is the kind of place you stumble into once and immediately start planning your return. I only had time for coffee, but it turned out to be one of the best cups I’ve had in a long time—rich, smooth, and brewed with care.

But what really hit me wasn’t just the coffee—it was the conversation. The man behind the counter? An outstanding guy. Irish, like myself, and fully fluent in that dry, sarcastic humor we call a national treasure. He laughed at my favorite restaurant being McDonald’s and my favorite Irish actor being Shaquille O’Neal. That’s the kind of rapport you can’t fake.

He told me the café’s been open two years, with a newly revamped menu—and let me tell you, it looks incredible. They’ve got Eggs Benedict that could probably win awards. If I’d had more time, I’d have sat down for a full breakfast and soaked it all in. But even in a short visit, I felt the warmth of community—the kind of place where you don’t just get fed, you get seen.

Can’t wait to come back. Might even make it my regular. Lakehouse Café, thanks for reminding me that small places can have the biggest hearts.

They completely over charge for iceberg lettuce and fry chicken masquerading as a “Cobb salad.” They sent a pudding cup as “yogurt” that was order as a bowl of fruit for eight dollars!!! Completely overpriced and did not sent the food they said they were going to send! Definitely not the place to be.

Had a lovely breakfast here while visiting town for work. The waiter was super kind and even split our two breakfast orders free of charge. Now that’s kindness and good service. Tasty good food got me all fixed up for the drive back home to New York. Breakfast burrito and breakfast croissant sandwich were both a win. Gluten free options too for my friend! Great prices too!

My husband & I were in Andover for the Vintage Market on Main St. We discovered this Cafe across the street. It may be small, but has a large historical charm. Cozy & cute. A stone fireplace with 2 cozy chairs in front & tables set around. We were met by Tony who was very inviting. Our food was outstanding. I had a cheeseburger cooked to perfection along with fries to match. My husband said his chicken salad sandwish & said it was the best he ever had. We had the home-made potato salad that was to die for! If I lived near by I would be there all the time. I would recommend this little cozy hideaway to all!

We have now been here 4 to 5 times and never has it disappointed. The homemade soups are delicious throughout the winter and every meal we’ve had from sandwiches to the smash burger or breakfast options has been fresh, delicious and timely. We can’t wait to come again!

0/5!! HORRIBLE PLACE! Would never go back. If you’re a person of color, you’re instantly targeted at this place. My cousin and I both went to grab breakfast at this place seeing the reviews were great and on our way to our destination. We were not approached as we stepped in by the man ( didn’t catch his name) but I guess the waiter/ manager of this place. We went up to him and asked him for a table, he placed us by the door where there were 3 other tables by us. As people (light skinned people) arrived to this place for breakfast, this man greeted them, and placed all of them in tables on the other side, far away from us. Literally creating a division from the side of the door, and my cousin and I were isolated on one side. To the point where he could no longer sit anymore people on the other side. My cousin and I were in disbelief that in the 21st century some form of division and seclusion exists just because we looked different than all the other customers at this cafe. That man needs to open his eyes and I hope some day he realizes the big injustice he made. If I could give this place a 0 I would. Like I said be aware of this place, terrible customer service. Seem to be stuck in the past. Would not go back here!!!

I go to the Lake House Cafe with a group of friends several times a year. We love it. . Today, my friends were treating me to lunch for my birthday. Besides the personable server, Terry, and the delicious food, I was surprised with a birthday dessert from the staff. We love the rustic atmosphere and cafe/general store feel. It’s a fun place and has a very relaxed atmosphere.

This place is great. Small town charm with big city .taste. Have been going here for two years. The owner, Terry, goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed. The food is made with care and served with a smile. Great for lunch. Well done.
