I’ve never been to Lakehouse Cafe, but I decided a couple days ago to try it. I live closer to Andover so I went online and ordered a smoothie and some food for pick up. I went to pick it up and they said they never received an order. They offered to make it for me so I told them, but they said they don’t do smoothies at the Andover location. Ok? So how was I able to place an order for a smoothie at the Andover location? I asked for a refund and they said they couldn’t give me a refund because the order never came in. I showed them the receipt that it was ordered to this location. They told me I should call Sparta. I did and they also didn’t get my order. So the money got taken but where did my order go? Nobody knew. I asked for another refund. They said no because the order never came through. I did appreciate them offering to make the drink and food for me however, Sparta is not close to where I am so I had to drive a bit far to pick it up for an on-the-go type of order instead of getting a refund. When I arrived at Sparta location, I showed the receipt and the woman at the front says this happens all the time with online orders. Maybe you should fix that.

Stopped in last week for a quick bite before heading into work, and was pleasantly surprised! Brought my husband back for brunch today and again everything was great! The gentleman there is lovely to chat with, the food is great, and if you enjoy historical charm you will especially enjoy the cozy space that this hidden little gem has to offer! I definitely recommend!

The BEST eggplant sandwich I've ever had in a restaurant. Fresh eggplant and came with a great salad and small bowl of potato salad. Small cozy restaurant and service was excellent! Highly recommend!

Came for breakfast with my family and it was amazing. The brown sugar cinnamon latte was so good as well as my crepe with nutella and strawberries. The atmosphere is so cute and I love the vibe. highly reccomend coming here!!

Menu was fantastic with so many delicious options. Loved the cozy quaint vibe. My brown sugar cinnamon latte was soooo good and I had the special blueberry lemon cream cheese French toast. Delicious!!! Great service too! Definitely recommend! You’ll love it here!
I came here for lunch, but left without getting any food because I was so uncomfortable. There was a customer harassing the poor young woman working here. He was *literally* following her around the cafe at one point, asking her personal questions about her life. She clearly felt uncomfortable. The older guy working with her (the owner? manager? He stepped out to make a call about an order...) didn't do anything to help his employee who was obviously still young and naively polite to a guy being creepy. I left because the atmosphere was so uncomfortable. I hope that young woman quits her job to find somewhere that will stick up for their employee.

Lovely cozy place with delicious food and terrific warm service. This was a happy find after hitting the Newtown DMV (which was also extremely pleasant.) Think you are just a different brand of Jersey out there. Will definitely return and explore the town a bit more.

Visited for breakfast. Small farm house style restaurant seating about 35-40 people but super cute and cozy with charm. Family owned. The older brother was very kind and accommodating. I ordered a vegan style breakfast burrito that was excellent! Reasonably priced. Would definitely come back.
