poor customer service. I have eaten here a couple times in the past and although excellent, this I found was extremely rude and turning away business is not a very good practice for any company.

So I had my baby shower here last weekend (10/05) and while things turned out to be beautiful, the feedback we have been getting from people has not been so great. Let me start with the food, the portions were much smaller than expected. We had come for a tasting before we booked our event and when we had the tasting the portions were big and tasty. For our baby shower I was surprised when my plate came and it was small and with just 3 pieces of potatoes. Also, this week I’ve gotten feedback from guests that some of their plates came cold. Secondly, we had gone with open bar which we had to pay for all adults even though not everyone drank. On the day of the event my husband noticed that the alcohol they had on the shelf was wrong (very very bottom shelf) and this was while the baby shower had already started. Then bartenders started to question guests and my husband about open bar being for 4+ hours and who is driving. I’ve been to many open bar events and this has never been a question not even as a guest or when I got married. We had transportation organized and if the bartender was concerned she should have brought it up to my husband and I privately, not question guests. Also, feedback from guests who did have some drinks was that their drinks had barely any alcohol and received attitude when they asked for more as if we were not paying for open bar (maybe the bartender thought she was paying for the drinks). Overall, this is what I’ve been getting this week as guests and my husband did not want to stress me out on the day of the baby shower. I’m giving 3 stars overall just because of how accommodating the owner was, however, the staff and service really cast a shadow over our entire event. For the amount of money we spent we expected more and if this was a wedding this would have been a bigger issue.

Once again we had an amazing dinner and service where everything was right on point. Our server Chesney was very personable and attentive. Also sang to me as it was my birthday! Food is always great whether it is just the 2 of us or when my husband booked the room for a private birthday party. Consistency is what we count on and we have never been disappointed in food or service. We will be back again!

Tough to rate this establishment. My wife and I, two of us, showed up at 5:30PM on Friday for a meal. Turned away as we had no reservation. Seventeen cars in the parking lot and it looked virtually empty inside. Mind you just turned away, like get out of here, no offer of anything including when the next available time was. Perhaps a request to have us come back in the future? Nope just go home.

On my way to Bethlehem, I stopped to get a bite and cocktail. Sat at the bar and ordered the shrimp avocado app and martini. The mixologist Lauren made a great Martini and was very attentive.

I was so thrilled to have a wonderful dinner there with cousins. The ambience, server and noise level perfectly matched the way I enjoy a fine restaurant. The food was exceptionally delicious. I enjoyed every bite. I highly recommend this place.

We never have a bad meal at Mountain View Chalet. Quality and quantity is superb. We no longer live in NJ but make a point of dining there during a stop back to see friends and family.

Perfect restaurant for birthday celebration. The dining room ambiance is very pleasant. Service outstanding. Dinner for 4, every dish perfectly prepared. Fish tender, steak, and filet mignon excellent to date. Salad dressings just lovely. Deserts fresh. Prices are reasonable for excellent quality, which was a nice surprise !
