The Kove Restaurant & Catering

This past Tuesday I came back to sample food for the second time in two weeks hoping for a better outcome, as I am a regular. Let me start out with service, the waitstaff is always amazing and I have never had a bad experience with them. They are always friendly and good spirited. However, the food on Tuesday was absolutely horrible. The wings were undercooked, and soggy fries. My fiancé’s burger was absolutely dreadful. The presentation of each dish was like I was at a dive bar. The previous week, yet, another Tuesday, the food was even worse. It’s almost like with the new ownership in place, the Italian dishes are not being created with the knowledge of an Italian chef or by a chef who knows his way around an actual kitchen. The shrimp scampi was absolutely disgusting. Mushy shrimp and over cooked pasta. It’s very disheartening to see a restaurant that has been loved by my fiancé and I turn into a typical diner pushing out subpar cuisine. And I will add that the way your menus have been written, and no clear direction of specials, no clear hours, as they all contradict posts created one after another. I’m sure whoever the new executive chef is, needs some major training, or he needs to rebrand himself completely. It’s sad to see a downfall of a restaurant we once loved. I have had better food at the diner up the street. We will no longer be returning.

We had mom's 85th birthday party @ the Kove on Sunday! The food was excellent, our server Alex was Awesome. Everything was perfect. thanks so much. We've had several parties there & have always been pleased. Welcome to the new owners ! same great food & service 😋

We came into the restaurant Friday (9/20) evening to hear the band. There were 6 in my party. The food was excellent!!!! The band was one of the best I've seen in a while. Service was okay.... We will all be back.

Never a bad meal. Happy Hour is great. Don’t be afraid to try something have not had; they make everything well.

Went to lunch with my daughter. 3 SILs and MIL. EVERYONE enjoyed it...that's a first! They sat us at an indoor table looking out on the outdoor seating...it was too hot/humid to enjoy outdoor dining, but they do have it. We ordered a round of cocktails along with a giant pretzel and a cheese plate to share. For entrees. 2 in our party ordered the seafood nachos, one ordered the Kove grilled cheese sandwich, another ordered the shrimp and scallops dinner, another ordered the strip steak dinner (both of which came with a salad, seasonal veggies and potatoes) and I ordered the Kove crab melt sandwich. Our server continued to stop by to check on us throughout the meal without being annoying. We were tempted with dessert and a few gave in...Boston crème pie and ice cream sundaes. They don't have cappuccinos, but we did enjoy coffee after our meals. We had a lovely meal without feeling rushed! One of my SILs even told me she's taking her hubby there for his birthday!

Parking: There's a covered portico for dropping off guests with limited mobility. Handicap parking is across the driveway from the front door. Large lot - plenty of parking even if there's an event going on.

Tina is absolutely spectacular!!! The day she stops working here is the day that I will stop coming ! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the exceptional service which she provides !! Tina you truly are the backbone and of this establishment!!!

Meals range from great to ok. Same for bar - some Bartenders exceptional others ok. Consistency is an issue. Great servers. Friendly atmosphere. Good neighborhood and family vibe. Catering facilities are quite nice. Parking can be an issue for restaurant when multiple catering events are taking place.

The food is good, and Tina and Phyllis are by and far the best part of coming to The Kove. I know that if they're there, the service will be impeccable. As long as they're at The Kove, we'll be loyal customers. Thanks Tina and Phyllis, we love you!

Pretty terrible experience at the Kove.Dinner started with our waitress telling us the bar was understaffed, so drinks might take a minute. Fine by us. We ordered calamari which came out barely fried. Then the drinks and one appetizer arrived after the salads. Somehow a blood orangetini which has no yellow ingredients came out the color of pineapple juice.When the seared scallops arrived they along with the side dishes were cold. The rest of the food was edible but that's as generous as I'd be.I was surprised the manager didn't want to come over and see why the scallops were being taken off the bill, but more likely than not, it's not a rare occurrence.Overall the atmosphere and vibe is pretty weird. 90s catering hall with less-than-diner-quality food. The prices were mostly reasonable, though.
